Already have a Christmas tree and decorations. This is my favorite time of the year. Santa’s been here early this year and got me skis so that I can go hit the hill this week! ⛷ Btw, I’ve met quite a few people who live here in the mountains and don’t ski or snowboard and noticed that these people generally don’t like the snow too much. And it makes sense. When I was living in the Czech Republic, I didn’t like the winter either because I never did any winter sport. If you want to be happy where you live, you have to enjoy the activities the place has to offer. If you live in the mountains, I recommend you give skiing a try. If you’ve tried in the past, give it another shot this winter. It’s such a great sport that you can do till very old age especially if you take care of your joints and mobility. There’s a lady in our neighborhood that’s in her 70’s and in such an amazing shape and so full of life!! She skis every winter and each year she has a goal to hit the hill for at least 150 days. This is how I imagine my senior years. When I ski I have this incredible sense of freedom. It’s exhilarating and fun. I can’t imagine to ever give that up. Uh oh! The storm is coming. We’re expecting 7 consecutive days of snow storms. So far it’s been pretty warm and sunny here in Tahoe so this is going to be my first time experiencing the winter here.
