  • ✨Instagram Influencer Imposters✨⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The sad reality on Instagram is that fake is the new black. Instagram Influencers exist to provide “the aesthetics” and lifestyle inspiration. We know that their lives aren't really like what we see on their feeds, but, wouldn't it be nice to live like that? Even if it's not 100 percent accurate, they must be doing something right to find themselves the subjects of intense adoration and love on the platform right? Wrong 😐⁣⁣
⁣⁣
These days, it’s easy to fake a personality and a brand that’s not truly you. You can buy followers, likes, even fake photos and fake a certain lifestyle and personality. You think it’s great because you’ll be lavished with love, adoration and attention by your followers for being what they think is the real you. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But, the fantasy collapses when the influencer is revealed to be greedy, fake, or just generally kind of mean as a person.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
And because not too many people know, you think you can just keep going on with the lie...but it adds up! People will start to know and then you’ll wonder why you suddenly became stagnant. ⁣⁣
⁣
And the incredible thing is that when they are found out, called out or the real them has been spotted, they present themselves as the real victim, cruelly punished by their adoring fans for their ambition and “putting their real self” out there.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
All I’m just saying is that the way you really build an audience is to bring people on a journey and entertain them. Use the medium to inspire them to follow their own dreams or live their passion.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Fake is ugly.⁣⁣
Fake is being incongruent with your true self which leads to unhappiness.⁣⁣
Fake is boring, meaningless and repetitive nonsense.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
So have fun following whoever you want, but always remember that who you are following may not be who you are really following.

  • 👩🏽‍💻Bruh, being a freelancer has its highs and lows! 😫As a way of working, freelancing enables you to follow your passion as you earn a living, maybe that’s why there’s now an increase in people deciding to become freelancers. But, it’s important for you to know the problems you have to deal with as you navigate a freelancing career. Here are 15 that we can all relate to: ⁣
⁣
* The requirements and demands of Client A, are not the same for Client B. So you need to keep upgrading your skills and never be static. What was applicable last year may not apply now. 🤷🏽‍♀️⁣
⁣
* The demands of adjusting to working with people in different time zones and being awake at odd hours.😴⁣
⁣
* Facing the reality of bad clients!🤬⁣
⁣
* Tackling money management as there are high and low times during your career. 〽️⁣
⁣
* The maths required to balance your work & life. ➕➖➗✖️⁣
⁣
* Hunting for clients, because finding clients isn’t as easy as it seems. 😑⁣
⁣
* Learning how to become the Jack of all trades by handling a lot of activities at once.😰⁣
⁣
* Meeting ridiculous deadlines: This could stir tension and make you nervous especially if you have so much to do at once.😶⁣
⁣
* Playing chess with procrastination (lol)😂⁣
⁣
* Understanding that you still have to make real world connections🤭⁣
⁣
* Being a victim of global currency fluctuations 💴 ⁣
⁣
* Being a better time manager because time is not ever enough when you have to revise, review and try to meet with the desire of your clients. ⏰ ⁣
⁣
* Battling with different payment methods 🙄⁣
⁣
* Trying to beat unfair prices by being a better negotiator🤯😡⁣
⁣
* Just staying positive through it all. 🙂💛⁣
⁣
What other struggles do you think freelancers go through? Let’s Vent and discuss in the comment section! Oh and Tinkerbell also has a few things to say about these 15 issues on Instagram Stories! Enjoy 😁⁣

  • 📲📣At the end of most Instagram posts, you’ll see a great initiative directing visitors to do something next like “Click the link.” In marketing, this is called the “Call-To-Action.”✨⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Calls-to-Action (CTAs) direct people to what they should do next. You can ask them to buy your product, visit your website or share their thoughts with you. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
However, not all CTAs are the same. The key is to be as creative as you can be in order to make people take action. You should always try out new CTA versions to see which one engages your audience the most.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Here are 8 creative, interesting and usable calls-to-action that you can use on your next post:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
1. Tease Your Followers: “Can you guess what it is!?”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
2. Let the Audience See the Need: “Tomorrow is the last day to get this discount!”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
3. Encourage Followers to Tag Their Friends: “Tag your lunch buddy!”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
4. Use Active Language: “Buy now,” “click on,” “subscribe to,” “register now,”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
5. Create a Sense Of Urgency: “For a limited time only,” “available to the first 100 customers”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
6. Focus On “You” Statements: “Sign up for the class to better YOUR brand”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
7. Get Your Followers to Like, Share Or Check Your Other Channels⁣⁣
⁣⁣
8. Ask your audience to share their thoughts or observations on a particular matter or topic. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
💡Extra Tips to entice people to click on the link from your bio:💡⁣⁣
⁣⁣
✖️Use arrows and make sure that they’re directed towards the link.⁣⁣
✖️Paste it after a CTA⁣⁣
✖️Use emojis. The star and hand pointing emojis are popular ones to use. Make sure you’re reachable. ⁣⁣
✖️You can add CTAs to your Instagram Stories as well⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Now go forth and call people to action!⁣⁣💛

⁣
4. Emojis are powerful visual cues.⁣
⁣
5. Pitch yourself with your bio to attract a like-minded audience.⁣
⁣
6. Tell your followers what to do. The last line of your bio should be a call-to-action. Make it ridiculously easy for your followers to shop, click, download, watch, enroll, buy from your profile.⁣
⁣
7. Link to something, anything (your website, shop, landing page, opt-in, etc.).⁣

⁣
So, how did you do? Who scored 8/8? 🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️🙋🏾‍♀️

  • ✨AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE✨⁣
⁣
Through social media, we have a continual window into the lives of friends, pseudo-friends, and celebrities. And what we see is not some unvarnished peek into their world but a highly idealized image that they present. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We see only the most exciting images from their vacations, the happy faces of their friends, and children, accounts of their continual self-improvement, the fascinating people they are meeting, the great causes and projects they are involved in and the example of success in their endeavors.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
We are now living in an age of perfectionism. We live in a world where we have unparalleled access to instant applause. Share a picture of yourself working, an engagement ring, an announcement and you’ll receive instant applause.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
But understand that perfection is the idea that kills. Whether it’s social media or pressure to be impossibly perfect twenty-first century iterations of ourselves, or pressure to have the perfect body, or pressure to be successful in our careers, or any of the different ways in which we place overly high expectations on ourselves and other people, we’re creating a psychological environment that’s toxic”⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Posting about something you haven’t actually accomplished gives you a delusional sense of accomplishment. And all of us, myself included are guilty of doing this.⁣⁣..
