If you're planning on baking this weekend it has to be thisπŸ‘
The perfect hiking treat ( if anyone wants to make some for Sunday 😜). The secret to these is the base, its a proper shortbread biscuit doppelganger and gives these bars an unreal crunch paired with the smooth creamy caramel ( drool)🀀🀀🀀
Recipe belowπŸ‘‡πŸ»
Makes 18 
Caramel 
120g dates
3 tbsp Cashew butter 
1 tsp Vanilla essence 
6 tbsp almond milk

Biscuit 
120g ground almond 
250g ground oats
6 tbsp maple
6 tbsp coconut oil( melted)
Pinch of sea salt 
Chocolate coating 
350g vegan/ dark chocolate- melted

Method
Start with the biscuit, mix all the ingredients together in a bowl into a dough texture.
Roll( or press) the dough out into a long rectangle on a lined baking tray. 
Using a knife Cut down the middle( lengthways) and then slice along the side into 18 bars. 
Separate the slices a little and bake in the oven for 17-18 minutes until golden around the edges. (at 180β€’C preheated ) 
Whilst these are baking make your caramel- blend all the ingredients in a food processor until smooth( no bits showing).
Once the biscuit base has been baked leave cool for 10 minutes before transferring onto a wire rack.( essential to leave them cool so they firm up and Dont crumble!)Tip- have a tray under the wire to catch any excess chocolate.
Smooth over 1 tbsp of caramel on each biscuit.
Cover with the melted chocolate and let set. Keep stored in the fridge for up to 6 days. #naturalbornfeeder #vegantwix

  • Hello friends so this month is mental health awareness month and this week is dedicated to body image. 
I haven't really been up for posting on social media as of late but I really like being able to use this space to hopefully make someone else experience online a little bit better and show my reality at least. 
Body image - it's something we're taught to place huge importance on. The media has decided what the perfect body type is and we have become completely blindsided by the fact our bodies are A LOT MORE THAN just for show. 
For a lot of years I based my self worth on my weight and believed reaching certain numbers  would bring happiness and success - it doesn't work like that and I guess I had to live it to realise it.
There's really not enough word count on this platform πŸ˜‚ regarding this subject but today I finished recording the last episode of Bite Back (out next week) a solid 9 episodes talking about this!

But I want to touch on what helped me heal my relationship with my body and food.
Firstly a realisation that I wasn't ok and that I didn't want to waste anymore time hating myself & feeling I didn't deserve the things I wanted because of how I looked. 
I sought help through counselling (cbt) and going to a nutritionist ( even though my eating disorders never really had anything to do with food it was just something I could control) it was really helpful in helping me tackle my ”fear” of certain foods and food groups.
Talking to my friends and family, mostly my family at the time because I feel ashamed but more than anything It gave me a responsibility to see it through and learn to manage it because I had let someone else in. 
In a world of beautiful strangers and comparison try remeber what this place is the highlight reel, that split second you see of someones day, that good angle or edited photo. That's all it is - nothing more. #mentalhealthawarenessmonth #bodyimage

Recipe( serves 2)⬇️⬇️⬇️
1 tsp oil( optional for taste)
1 tin chickpeas rinsed and drained
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tumeric
2-3 tbsp nutritional yeast 
Salt and Pepper to taste.

Served here with rye bread, avocado and chilli flakes.

  • Hello everyone😁 I said I needed to do a demo of how I use the Chanel Bronzing mousse and here it is- my holiday make up must have. I used a buffer brush here by Blank canvas.I use a little and spread it out as it can be very dark so work it into your skin and make sure it's nice and even πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ’•
