  • It’s official - I’m pumped to have signed with @bluestarnutraceuticals as an athlete, which means together we’ll be getting to work on some superb video projects to really bring you the science behind working towards your dream physique.

I’ve also posted an announcement on my story (or check the Blue Star highlighted story on my main page), to hear more about my reasons for signing with them, and what the deal is with our ‘5 Million Transformation’ goal by 2022.

  • How much sleep do you get a night? After all, this is really where your body recovers, repairs, and grows. These days I’m pretty good with 6 hours (a couple more maybe on the weekends). I still eat my final meal (protein-based meal) around 9-10pm, and then ensure I’m calming the mind and body for a peaceful rest. For a long time I would mix and blend different products for the best combination of what I needed.

Seems like others were also doing that, and were able to bring it into existence - like this Stress Remedy from @omax - but I find it most beneficial at night. L-theanine, Essential fatty acids, and  10mg of phytocannabinoids - (hemp oil), all helping with optimal inflammation response, better relaxation (my mind is always busy) and improved sleep quality.

Remember - it really does all start (and end) with the right type of deep and peaceful sleep each night, and when we’re not optimizing this it has a knock on effect in so many other areas.

Loved the style of this DTLA shoot for @leorever.official featuring the palisades flex tracksuit (can you tell the black and gold is my favorite). (I’ve also posted a direct link to their collection in my story). Got some really big and fun projects with this brand (but it’s really more like family for me now). 2019 is going to be THE year... right.

  • This is probably my favorite all time shot of me - but let me explain why: I remember this day when I had scheduled a shoot with the great Michael Neveux at @neveuxstudios and was genuinely feeling I wasn’t quite on point (skin tightness, and just general confidence about my overall package - which I get it, might sound strange, but I mean just in the sense of self expectations and especially with shooting with someone like Mike who has shot THE BEST of the industry for decades). I started to warm up and was getting a pretty decent pump.
I had bought a friend along to shoot and was really wanting to give him the experience in front of the camera. By the time Mike asked me to jump in I was like - ok, well let’s just give it your best I thought to myself. I didn’t see these images until Mike had sent me a few via email and remember sitting back and thinking - wow! What a great composition, especially with the lighting cascading on all the cuts (making me look leaner and harder than I believed I really was).
To summarize, the message or this post is really to let go of all your self apprehension and self doubt and throw yourself into it. Give it the best that you can with what you’ve got to work with right at that moment. You only have the NOW for yesterday has gone and tomorrow hasn’t happened. Make it count.

  • The focus for me today is shoulders, and this #throwback shoot with @arsenikstudios a few years back truly motivates me. I was super lean after a solid 5 weeks of diet manipulation (and plenty of cardio), and I think I must have been around 168-179lbs at most. I feel that this year I WILL surpass this.
