    Oh you’re so SKINNY
I remember how i used to be super skinny in my teens. Not that i was a fussy eater , blame it on my fast metabolism in those days.
I used to hate being called skinny , every now and then i was told “ bohot kamzor ho gai hai”, some used to say “kuch khaati nai hai”. They used to say it out of concern or just like that but subconsciously it started affecting me
I moved out of my home at 18 to study dentistry , i was a hostler and lost even more weight in my hostel days (this time blame it on NOT SO AMAZING canteen food) . I don’t know how and when this thing of being called skinny started affecting me so much that i started with medicines and shakes for weight gain but nothing worked.
The first time I gained weight in my life was during my pregnancy and you will be surprised to know that i was happy with my weight gain. People saying akanksha you’ve put on lot of weight used to make me super happy probably because all I heard whole of my life was “ YOU SHOULD GAIN SOME WEIGHT “ And Tadaaaa I finally did
Sadly I was happy to an extent that I never wanted to loose that weight because it was deep seated in my subconscious mind that being skinny is not right and people don’t like it so i have to be this way. Until today i am not motivated enough to work out for my body as i fear going back there though i soon realized how and what i was thinking was wrong.
The reason i am sharing this is because one might generally comment on someone’s body or weight having no idea how this can affect them. We should be happy in our own skin & body. Everyone is different, some of us have fast metabolism and some have slow.
