  • Wow! The advancement in video gaming is incredible and has come a long way in my lifetime from the old Atari boxing games.
-
I didn’t realize that it was Tyson at first. Don’t know why they used an older version of him 🤷🏾‍♂️ but this looks really good either way. Anyone know what game this is?

  • As a fighter, you set goals! To reach those goals you make plans. These plans can work out exactly as you make them or sometimes nothing like planned. It’s important to know the difference between goals and plans.
-
Goals don’t change. When I set out in my amateur career, my goal was to win a gold medal and then turn pro. However my plans didn’t work out that way and I lost to Tyrell Biggs in the 1984 Olympics. That loss was not how I planned it, even tho my goal remained the same.
-
So instead of turning pro in 1984, I remained an amateur, soaked up more experience and took the Gold on 1988. I reached my goal as an amateur fighter and it was time to make new goals and set about on a plan to achieve the goal of undisputed world heavyweight champion.
-
Everything didn’t always go as planned, but I remained focused on my goal. My loss to MCCall was a major setback, but my goal remained the same...UNDISPUTED!
-
It was a long, hard road and even took two fights with my toughest competitor, Evander Holyfield, but I eventually achieved the goal I had set for myself before I turned pro. At that moment, I had to set new goals. I heard a saying that goes “A plan can take you in many directions, but a goal will only take you in one.”
-
This is a true statement and wise words to understand. Remember this and your setbacks won’t feel like the end of the road because they aren’t. The are just plans that didn’t work out. Make new ones until u reach ur goals! Bless!

  • Encouraging honesty and self-confidence in children begins with making it easy for them to get the answer right to a question. Everyone attends my boxing camp for a variety of reasons but only few actually come for boxing. By the time they leave they have learned some boxing, acquired a few skills they didn’t know they had and learned a few lifeskills useful for some of their very specific youth challenges. 🥊

These clips are from my inaugural 2018 #kitchener #boxingcamp. These are some of the children from my Kitchener community in Canada that helped me launch my career. 👊🏾 It was nice to learn that some of the parents went to school with me or knew me from my Kitchener days and I am grateful that they entrusted my team and I to introduce my Kinghts in the Ring program which is my version of boxing+lifeskills to their children. 👊🏾 It doesn’t matter your reason for participating in my boxing camp @lennoxlewisleagueofchampions. I just want to see you on the medal 🏅🎖 side of life.. A #success in the RING OF LIFE! See you at camp! 👊🏾 #lennoxlewis #undisputed #pugilistspecialist #boxing #noguytest #bethechange
