  • If you’re like me and you spent a lot of time watching Modern Family over the years, you would HAVE to big up @arielwinter (who played Alex Dumphy) when you see her. She said she felt so small around me, so I showed her how the tall man technique works and adds some height to the shorter folk. 😎Swipe for the secret. See-I care.👍🏿Shoutout to my shorter singer/rapper friends who gave me this useless/useful gem to use around them...

  • ***LANGUAGE***Fuck racist people. Fuck ignorant people. Fuck disrespectful privileged people. Excuse my language, but I’m just pissed right now. I work hard so I can enjoy random luxuries from time to time, like business/first class on planes and other frivolous dumb sh**...but some of these people that travel in these sections have ZERO manners and think that having money allows them to negate common courtesy, manners or sympathy. I actually dislike the business lounges and first class, because the looks and behaviour is so gross. Anyways, I was standing in line waiting to board and asked a woman in front of me “are you in zone 1?”. I thought she didn’t hear me, but her little son attempted to answer and asked “mom are we in Zone 1...?” She said nothing. Then 30 seconds later said yes (without looking at me)...then decided to look at me and said “are you a basketball player?”. I said “no, I’m the Senior Director Of Urban A&R and artist relations at Universal” (then she tried to tell me I look like i could be an NBA player...🙄). As I stood in line, a couple that clearly use English as their second language stood by the desk where you scan your tickets to board. It wasn’t their turn yet, but instead of saying “excuse me” etc, some guy decided to disrespect them and yell at them telling them to “move out the way!”. Smh. Yo-the funny thing is that over and over these people look down their noses at people that don’t look like them (don’t wear suits, khakis, dress shirts underneath their sweaters, Burberry, etc) when THEY are the ones that we should be looking at in disgust. NOT ALL, but it’s been my experience for many years that my money isn’t valued by some of these establishments and corporations. The people can be so disgustingly rude and judgemental, it literally makes me dread having to travel a lot of the times. I come from very humble beginnings and am thankful for all these opportunities to drink real champagne instead of kola champagne (Jamaican soda), but at what cost? To sit and have my energy drained by these pretentious and out of line POS? Life is full of irony sometimes. Never had this issue on the back of the ossington 63 bus. 😒

  • Time to stop hoarding all this music for just me and my studio. New joints dropping in MAY, just in time for my birthday. Big respect for all the people who keep asking when the new tings coming out. I know it’s been a minute, but the wait will be well worth it. Been in my BAG producing, writing and working with some of my all time favourite people. Shoutout to @yummyb4u - she killed this jawn so hard, I had to reproduce the entire song around her...vibes is back! Let ______ know it’s go time. 🥳🙌🏿👨🏾‍💻

  • Toronto. This is part of why we are the way we are. From time. Just because you don’t know who Shaka Zulu is doesn’t mean he never existed. He was one of the greatest African warriors in Zulu history. That same reasoning goes for the musical warriors who put in that work. Embrace who you are and where you come from. A LOT of people rocked before me and it helped elevate me, when it was my turn to turn up. It doesn’t threaten your future greatness, it only enhances and amplifies it. That goes for every city. Time to unify across the board. Love my city. ✊🏿Always have, always will.

  • @grunggaadzilla this is the realest, I had to repost...how do we change this? How do we make life as it happens through us everyday as moving as when death touches somebody we love, admire and cherish? How do we let days, weeks and months pass without calling our friends and family or going to see them and telling them/showing them how important they are to us? Why do we show people how much they mean to us when they can’t be present to smile and say thank you? Fuck that-I will always try my best to text you, call you, go see you and let you know what’s up. For the people who follow me on social media, the love and good energy you feel through these posts are my way of saying I appreciate and value you. If you took the time to read this-you could’ve easily also texted someone you know “yo family-was thinking about you, love you bro/sis!”. Let’s change the narrative in our society and like they say on one of my favourite podcasts @drinkchamps “Give em the flowers while they can smell em and weed while they can inhale em...”. Love. 🙏🏿🙌🏿#idontsmokebutwillchewthehelloutofagummybearthough!🥳

  • Can’t believe its been 19 years already. Only man like Gizmo sends me a text every year, because it’s his birthday today ironically. Haven’t visited your grave in a few years, but it’s because I know you’re not there. I see you in how I raise my kids. I decided to not be too down today-instead I spent it with the family at the movies, hopping around to see your mom and went to go see Aunt Madge too (I know she was one of your favourites). She just smiled when she saw how much energy the youts had and said she could just imagine how you’d be with your grandpickney dem. Before I posted this I was thinking if you would’ve even been a social media guy 🤔...you would’ve either bun fire on it or overdid it (you always love pose though LMAO). Everybody’s ok for the most part. I still touch yard atleast once a year if I can. Definitely wish we could’ve known each other as big men though. I’m understanding all the lessons you taught me from time. Trying my best to love all my family, love my culture and I just got a gym membership so I’m a try a ting and see if I can build up a liccle tricep etc (but I cyaa go everyday to Gold’s Gym like you!). Anyways, the world is different now and you wouldn’t too too love how people stay, but in alotta ways it’s the same. One thing’s for sure is I still remember your old phone number from all them years ago (759-2837) and often times almost dial it to rass. They say you’re watching over us, so beg you a favour and ask God to lend me the numbers for Lotto Max nuh man?🤷🏾‍♂️It’s funny you know dad-I’m too Jamaican for the Canadians and too Canadian for the Jamaicans. 😂😂😂Lawd-you created a monster for real. Anyways, hail up everybody up there for me. See you in my dreams dad. Doing my best. 🙏🏿

  • Very saddened and disturbed. This footage was literally just the other day right after the Grammys. I was in a booth with @boi1da and the mans dem and Nip pulled up to the club with his whole team. He was happy, his city showed love and he had the aura of someone who was beginning to feel super comfortable in his skin as a king. He and his woman were an example of what a positive black relationship looked like and every piece I watched about him or read about him highlighted all the positive things he was doing for his community and his people. His business acumen, his love for his set and his music-we could all feel it. Can’t believe it yo. Only 33. Heart goes out to his loved ones and the entire west. When I saw you in person, you were having a great time. That’s what will be on repeat in my mind tonight. Thank you for being brave enough to show us the right way to do so many things. You meant something to the community. Rest In Peace.
