What a fun arts and crafts Sunday! ✨🎨
I thought it would be fun to make edible paint because I knew Roman would want to join the older kids. I took vegan coconut whipped cream and separated it into 4’s. Then the kids added their favorite food coloring to each section. And, in between - they “ate” paint. 😂 We also made slime + play dough and ate that too! I simply mixed pudding with cornstarch + added food coloring! This kept the kids busy for hours AND this project is a great sensory craft! Good times! ❤️ #LindseyBabies #SensoryCrafts #DIY #EdiblePaint
Wow. What a crazy 24 hours. ✨ I woke up in Atlanta yesterday, traveled to Miami. Preached at around 9pm. Got to the hotel and went to sleep at 12am. Woke up in Miami at 3am and got on a plane to Maryland at 6am. Preached at 2pm. Got back on the plane at 4pm and now I’m going to sleep in Atlanta.
It’s safe to say that I woke up in Florida today, spent the day in Maryland and went to sleep in Georgia. 😂😂 Today was so special to me. Why? Because I watched the Lord GRACE me beyond my physical body. Now, I’m not making it a habit to pack out my schedule but to see the way He literally took over both sermons is mind blowing. I barely even looked at my notes. 😩😭 God truly graced who He calls and today I experienced it supernaturally.
Thank you to @stephgramling @potentialchurch & @i5city and @irenerollins for having me! I just love ya’ll! ❤️ Up next? Church tomorrow at @thegochurch! If you’re in the Atlanta area - join us! ✨ #MyGodIsCrazyFaithful
The perk of traveling every week? ✈️ When people on the plane have wet coughs & they cough the entire flight - you already have a whole stash of face masks, travel purifier, wipes and hand sanitizer. 😂 (found this mask on amazon!) Hellooooo Florida!! I’m so excited to be with you tonight!
Sooo, within 24 hours this weekend, I will be speaking in Miami (area) on Friday + Baltimore on Saturday. So, if you’re in the area - I would love if you joined me at @potentialchurch or @i5city! I can’t wait to share the word the Lord gave me! ✨
Swipe left + details are in my calendar (bio)!
So I noticed a recent trend with Taylor and I wanted to share it for any other mamas (or dads) that have gone through this with their young babies.
Every time I would discipline Taylor she would MELT down and cry. She would yell “you’re mad at me!!!!” This went on for about 6 months. If I said the smallest correction to her - she couldn’t handle it. It was odd because I’ve only encouraged and built up Taylor. Yes, of course I’ve always corrected as well in a loving way. I don’t yell at her. I never say mean things. I always include her.
One day, she was melting down and I felt the Lord tell me to look her in the eye and say this:
“Taylor Lindsey, there is nothing you will ever do that will make me stop loving you.”
I only had to tell her twice and since then, she hasn’t had any more meltdowns like she used to with me. She no longer says “you’re mad at me.” It’s been about 4-5 months and I’m so thankful for the Lords instruction that day. The words from the Lord broke down that fear in her little heart.
Somehow, someway, Taylor actually thought this “helicopter, obsessed with her and completely in love with her mama” would really be mad at her and somehow not love or approve of her. I continue to tell her that statement daily and she’s calmed down so much. I’m in awe.
So, if you have little ones - be intentional about correcting any of the lies from the enemy. If the enemy can attack our babies - he will. But he has to get past me and I refuse to let the enemy use me to plant childhood trauma in my babies heart in any way.
We are raising this next generation. Let’s do our part, speak life, trust the Holy Spirit and let’s not take out our days on our babies. They didn’t ask to be here. God sent these precious gifts to us to steward well.
