Fujifeed Profile Information

  • Zoé @zoepignolet — Like slowly shadows at midday, reflections after a summer rain, tiny details of a building under construction... the images of Zoé are everything but chaos and confusion. Time is soft on her profile.
I find her pictures aesthetically beautiful. There is some poetry between the pastel grey colors that prevail all over her feed. It reminds me of a fragment of @rhye song: « Why you look so fragile?
Oh, you look so pretty, there's no devils here »

  • Photo: Victor Djaja @victor_djaja — I love the contrast in this photograph between the huge tanker boat and the slim wooden structure. The playfulness of the kids opposing our modern society. The timing is spot on and the color palette stunningly simple and effective. Victor has some wonderful images of Indonesia on his account, I highly suggest you to check it out if you haven’t already. — Samuel

  • Photo: Brian @briandelro — Here’s a thing: the vision of our world is influenced by our experiences or familiar situations from the past. It has the power to narrow our expectations for the future adventures that could be just around the corner. Sometimes we can miss something out just because we are too tied up to what we are used to know. It’s not so simple to be conscious about the fact that everything is possible. Sometimes it’s too big. Too unreal.
There is a geometrical composition and an idea to think about behind this picture taken by Brian del Rosario.
We like the use of white colors with a touch of shadows. — Olya

  • Photos: Rodrigo Roher @rodrigoroher — « Candidat X » On April 26 there was the general elections in Spain. People decided in an open election who will be remembered. Rodrigo decided to focus on the campaign posters and what they reveal. Looking behind the cracks of politics. A very contemporary work. There’s always a unique angle to Rodrigo’s vision. — Samuel

  • Photo: Iraklis Kougemitros @iraklisk_htakat — The work of Iraklis is simply out of this world, this image alone doesn’t do it justice. If you want to dive deep into another realm for the next twenty minutes then I urge you to visit his profile. The way he use shadows (self shadow or silhouettes of others) is brilliant, he creates very graphical composition out of the direct sun light and often integrate layers of reflections. Some of his images could be easily mistaken for paintings. I enjoy the playfulness that comes out of some of his photograph like this one selected. We’ll definitely keep a close eye on Iraklis and feature his work again in the future. — Samuel

  • Photo : Cedric @coeld_ — « Untitled » is the original title of this image.
I would name it « silence » or « calmness ». We are used to think that a good photograph has to relate to an event or symbolize an emotion. This picture, though, is everything but a motion.
The red and yellow warm tones are well mixed together with a depth of field very pleasant to look at. No sharpness. Smooth angles.
With all the chaos happening in the world, it’s getting so important to turn your mind into a silent heaven sometimes and find beauty in ordinary things. This could be your own form of meditation through photography.
Tell us what are your sources of inspiration. What gives you the creative spark ?

  • Photo: John Carlo Cielo @_sky.photo — This portrait immediately caught my eye, the first thing that stopped me is the colors. I adore this tone of red. The way John isolated his subject using a white sheet is brilliant, it also act as a natural diffuser to soften the light on the portrait face. The negative space it creates around the model puts all the attention to the center of the frame and leave some breathing room. PS: I hope you all had a great easter weekend, we’re back at full speed this week! Don’t forget to join our forum and Slack discussion group. — Samuel

  • Photo: Mathias Zwick @mathiaszwick— Nothing is eternal, especially things created by human.
The Lady of Paris have lost a part of itself in the flames of yesterday. The saddest part is about loosing the heritage and the history of Notre Dame.
The powerlessness feeling of this show was caught by all the visitors around. Among them, Mathias Zwick took a very tragic picture. The darkest parts of the image guide the look to the fire itself, with a red tone of nostalgia and loss. — Olya

  • Photo: Zara Meduna @wildmoons — I’ve been a fan of Zara work since quite some time now and she never cease to amaze me. She has a muse, her favorite model, Klara. We can definitely understand why! The way she use light both in the studio and outdoor is fascinating, there’s often a painterly quality to her work. I highly suggest you to visit her gallery if you haven’t already. — Samuel

  • Photo: Christian Holzinger @christianholzinger.photo — It took me a bit of time to define what I enjoyed some much about this image. At first I thought it was the color and light, but then I realized that the opening of the cave was a parallel to the shape of the rock in the background. What I mean by this is that if you look only at the shape of the opening it sort of mimic the outline of a rock. Those links between elements of a photographe are very important I think in making images that evoke something to the viewer. They might not be noticed by the untrained eye but they remain little visual treats. Other than that it’s a very well composed and planned image, the colors and white balance are more towards blue but it works quite well with the gray walls of the cave. #xt3 #xf1024 #fujifeed

  • Photo: Brandon Wong @_mrbw_ — Cities with their concrete buildings and metal towers offers so many visual variations during the day at ground level. But there’s one place where the rush of the day can be felt more than anywhere else, public transport. The London Underground is a maze bustling with people like an ant colony. This gentlemen doesn’t seem very bothered by all the activity around, it’s almost like if he knew he was being photographed. The blend between the cold metal reflections, the dark shadows, the lines formed around him and his body position is delightful. Brandon has some more incredible street photography in his gallery, if you haven’t seen it yet I highly recommend you do! #x100f #fujifeed
