  • Exercise- it’s a word that makes many cringe 😂 and let’s face it, it’s HARD to get the energy first thing in the morning before work, or last thing at night before you go home and put on your trackies and ugg boots (guilty). The way I encourage myself to get moving is to ask myself “what type of exercise can I accomplish today- just 20 minutes of any movement is all I need”. Once I allow myself 20 mins to do anything I want- gym, yoga, walk or run etc, then I end up doing it for longer most of the time anyways and I feel so much better for it afterwards! And if I don’t end up working out for longer, 20 minutes is still better than no minutes! It’s funny, when you workout more, your cells actually begin to produce more mitochondria, these little powerhouses inside body cells that convert your food to energy. So- the more you workout the more energy that you will actually have. And as soon as you stop, your body stops producing mitochondria and they actually get broken down and disposed of, so you begin to feel fatigue more often!
