  • Take a look inside the #perthconcerthall 😍 The Concert Hall features 1729 seats divided over three main levels, a 20-metre wide stage, spacious galleries around the main auditorium and a spectacular 3000 pipe organ built by Robert Sharp under special commission.

The venue continues to host a huge number of diverse performances and events all year round – including but not limited to, popular music, comedy, classical music and talks, including the current home of the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (#WASO). #cityofperth

  • 🌳 Today is #NationalTreeDay 🌳

Did you know Stirling Gardens is the oldest garden in the City of Perth?

Named after Governor James Stirling, the gardens were first used by colonial botanist James Drummond as an acclimatisation garden in the 1830s to raise specimens from seeds. The reserve officially opened as Perth’s first botanical garden in 1845.

Watch as this life-sized human effigy builds itself from ice pulled directly from the air around it, to then melt away and return to the atmosphere.

The art sculpture will be outside the #cityofperthlibrary until 27 July. #cityofperth

  • In recognition of NAIDOC Week this July, the #cityofperth are decorating City fleet vehicles with Aboriginal artwork.

The artwork Makuru – Season Story by Nerolie Bynder, a proud Badimia-Nyoongar-Yamatji woman, was chosen by the City of Perth’s Elders Advisory Group for its depiction of the Whadjuk Nyoongar connection to the land and the Swan River (Derbarl Yerrigan).
