So loved talking with singer @charli_xcx today at the @thrive offices. . .and now introducing my new alter ego, Ari XCX! Also here with @nastycherryband, the girl group that Charli formed and will appear with on a @netflix show that was just announced today. Swipe for our group pic with @stephruhle!
Was so inspired and energized by my time at #UnreasonableImpact in the beautiful Hudson Valley surrounded by the fall foliage. @unreasonable supports and mentors growth-stage entrepreneurs who are taking on seemingly intractable problems. In addition to some amazing 1:1 walking meetings, I did a fireside chat with @epsteida and talked about how entrepreneurs need to learn lessons from elite athletes about the need for recovery to maximize their impact. As George Bernard Shaw wrote, “all progress depends on the unreasonable man.” But even unreasonable men – and women – need to unplug and recharge their unreasonableness! You can watch our full conversation at my #LinkInBio!
Great reminder on what would have been Carrie Fisher's 63rd birthday!
A Friday reminder that we all have that center of strength, peace and wisdom within us! Tag a friend!
Moderated a talk about women’s health at the #Time100HealthSummit with @cturlington @drleanawen, and Dr. Naveen Rao. We discussed the politicization of women’s healthcare and the impact of data and technology on health outcomes. Many other great speakers today including @selmablair, Bill Clinton and @algore.
Loved joining @mishanonoo for a fireside chat as part of her Women On the Go conference at her pop-up shop in Soho. We talked about sleep, stress-free wedding planning, and the importance of embracing a #repeats wardrobe. Loved wearing her white husband shirt and these @schutz metallic boots! 💜 💜
Delighted to announce @Thrive's acquisition of Boundless Mind. Happy Sunday! 💜💜💜
Not all stress is created equal. Which of these thought patterns do you most identify with? I started life with repeated worrying but by practicing Microsteps — small incremental daily steps that can change our habits — I have managed to be less and less affected by it!
Loved launching @Thrive at Verizon today at their amazing women's senior leadership forum! Here with @TamiErwinVZ and @cisco's Gerri Elliott for a great panel on everything from how to create a thriving company culture to gender equity. Swipe to see our chief training officer @joey.hubbard leading a Thriving Performance workshop, as well as our Thrive team with Tami, Magda Yrizarry and Sarah Janjua from Verizon. #AllofWe
At @Thrive, we're all about moving from awareness to action. On the heels of #WorldMentalHealthDay, these are some of my favorite Microsteps (science-backed actions that are too small to fail) which you can incorporate into your life immediately to help you build resilience and manage stress.
Tried my hand at DJing for #WorldMentalHealthDay by curating a @Spotify playlist, which includes classics ("Hallelujah," "Dancing Queen") and recent hits ("Good as Hell," "You Need to Calm Down"). You can listen at my #LinkInBio! What songs help you reset from stress?
Powerful stories from Lady Gaga, Michael Phelps and others on their mental health journeys, including the small everyday steps they take to build resilience and boost their mental well-being. While many organizations are doing the important work of raising awareness on #WorldMentalHealthDay, @Thrive is focusing on the actions we can all take. #ThrivingMind
Reminder on #WorldMentalHealthDay: Science has taught us that positive affirmations are a great way to silence the voices of self-doubt and judgments at any age! | Regram: @alissa360style "I taught Ayaan this positive affirmation on his 2nd Birthday last year. In hopes that he would one day memorize it, understand it and use it as a motivational tool whenever he needed it. Well he shocked me this morning. Out of no where he started repeating it, so I pulled out my phone. He ended (with enthusiasm lol) once we made it to our destination💙. So proud of the little boy he is growing into."
When we’re stressed, our brain can get stuck in a loop of negative thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Is this what happens to you when you’re stressed? Learn more at the #linkinbio about the groundbreaking science behind how the brain works from Dr. Leanne Williams of @stanford.med and how it can empower and take us one step closer to addressing our stress. #WorldMentalHealthDay #ThrivingMind
Few things are more healing than laughter! This video is also a great example of reframing. Next time you come across a problem, look at it from a different angle! Your M could be a W and you probably just didn't see it. Tag someone who would love some laughter this morning!
