  • Ever since my first visit to Byblos Downtown, it had always been my No.1 fav restaurant in Toronto. The uptown location opened a little more than a year ago and I was finally able to capture the foods in good lighting. Must-tries that I recommend after more than 10 visits to the restaurant: 1️⃣Lamb Ribs 2️⃣Fig Salad 3️⃣Black Truffle Rice 0️⃣STUFFED BAKLAVA with mint ice cream and black chocolate mousse❤️ This dessert is made from scratch in kitchen and had me dreaming about it for days… (Although Byblos had always lived up to my expectations and maintained the same high standard, my last visit was quite disappointing. The lamb ribs were way too fatty and cooked almost in a completely different way… it was still edible and decent, but not the amazing texture and taste I expected. Meet the staff:⁣
Em is newer to the area as she had moved here from California a few years back. Since then she has been a cook with our company for 1 1/2 years and she is also now bartending on Saturday mornings! She spends most of her time with her two girls (that are so sweet), doing yoga, dancing and live music. She also, clearly, makes awesome desserts!!! Come try it for yourself!! ⁣

Here is the recipe from our amazing customer .
𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭:
6oz. @porkkinggood Unseasoned Pork Rind Crumbs
1/4c. Brown Sugar Substitute, packed. I used @sukrinusa 
1/4c. Cocoa powder, unsweetened
1/8-1/4tsp salt, optional
1/4tsp. Ground Cinnamon
5TB Melted Butter⁣

𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨:⁣
In a large bowl, combine first 5 ingredients. If you don't want to use the salt, don't. I gave it a little taste and added 1/4tsp salt to my liking. It works with this dessert. Drizzle in melted butter and mix thoroughly.
Grease a Torte pan with removable bottom. Place on a baking sheet. Press Crumbs on bottom & up sides of Torte pan. Bake at 325 for 15 min. Let cool completely. .

4oz cream cheese, softened
1/4c butter, softened
1/3c powdered Monkfruit/erythritol Blend by @sonourishedinc
1/2tsp vanilla
1 1/2cups heavy whipping cream
1pkg @simplydelishnatural Instant chocolate pudding
6oz homemade whipped cream, or sugar-free @coolwhip, thawed, (if you're dirty keto)
1-2TB @choczero sugarfree chocolate syrup.

𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨:⁣
In a large bowl, cream together cream cheese and butter. Add in sweetener and vanilla and beat till fluffy. In another bowl beat heavy whipping cream and instant pudding for 2 min. Beat in whipped cream. Yes, beat. Don't fold like normal. It will be too lumpy if you don't beat. Beat this mixture into cream cheese mixture, with the 2 tablespoons on chocolate syrup, until combined. It will be thick!
Spread this over cooled Crust, cover and chill till cold.
Serve with more @choczero chocolate syrup on top.

  • La versión vegetariana de un clásico, Chupe de Champiñones.

Ingredientes:
100 gr. de queso parmesano.
90 gr. de pan blanco.
150 gr. de cebolla.
1 zanahoria.
1 pimiento morrón.
2 dientes de ajo.
1 manojo de hojas de perejil.
2 jitomates maduros.
400 gr. de champiñones.
150 ml. de vino blanco o caldo de verduras.
Una pizca de sal.
Una pizca de pimienta.
Una pizca de orégano.

Preparación:

1. Poner en el vaso el queso en cuadritos y programar 15 seg./ Vel. progresiva de 5-10 y reserve.

2. Sin lavar el vaso, poner el pan, perejil y ajo y programar 10 seg./ Vel. 7 y reserve.

3. Sin lavar el vaso, trocear la cebolla, zanahoria, el pimentón y los jitomates por 10 seg./ Vel. 7. Bajar con la espátula los ingredientes hacia el fondo del vaso, agregar el aceite y sofreír (programar) 7 min./120°c/ Vel. 1.

4. Añadir los champiñones, el vino o caldo de verduras, el pan rallado y programar 15 min./120°c/ Giro inverso/Vel. 1.

5. Servir en un plato y agregar queso parmesano rallado a la parte superior. Gratinar hasta que esté dorado y ya está listo para disfrutar.

Tip 💡: I thought this dish was really good! I enjoyed the meatballs, but really loved the noodles! It comes with cabbage salad & apple-ginger sauce, so mixed all together it has great flavor! I also tried the Beef Bulgogi & the Shrimp Fried Rice (pictured in my stories and the Lunar New Year Highlight). They were all delicious, but if I had to rank them: 1. Beef Bulgogi, 2. Chicken Meatballs & Lo Mein, 3. Shrimp Fried Rice. Sip & Savor Passes are available for $42, but annual pass holder discounts apply! These 3 items are worth the tabs!
