  • This man is originally from South Dakota where he worked for forty years as a pathologist. He did not begin painting until 52 years old after being commissioned by a New York museum to paint a dinosaur. When I asked what his secret to paint is, he explained that he is always exploding unique textures. For example, the painting featured in this photograph has sand mixed into the dark brown paint. He is a true face of Charleston, South Carolina. •
