  • This isn't even half of the people who attend Monday's class at @sheppard_robson but I really wanted to applaud & show appreciation for the dedication & commitment to showing up weekly for yoga no matter the season we are in. You all work high pressured jobs & no matter what your week looks like you never fail to turn up &  gift yourself some time on the mat. I have loved watching the friendship amongst you blossom & grow since you started 2 years ago & I am honoured to witness the sense of community & support that has transpired between you all. There is nothing that I throw at you that you are not willing to try & your progress is beautiful to see. It's a genuine true joy to teach all of you & I thank you for allowing me to be apart of such a beautiful journey of commitment to self love. 💙

  • The best way to avoid those #postholiday blues? Treat yourself to a little #selfcaresunday 💆🏻‍♀️💆🏻‍♂️! Everyone has their preference, but for us, our favorite #selfcareroutine is simply a little body movement.

We had the absolute BEST time on our holiday but let’s face it, tomorrow is Monday and we are seriously contemplating skipping the morning commute and heading straight back to #vacay 😆

  • “I’m not flexible enough to do yoga” is one of the most common reasons we hear for why people don’t want to start a yoga practice.

When we hear that excuse, it only makes us giggle a little because, let’s face it, yoga is what helps create flexibility so of course feeling tight is the exact reason to try Yoga.

With a consistent yoga practice we’ve seen our clients become more flexible, gain strength and increase their mobility.

You would never say your too dirty to take a shower right? So maybe reconsider this whole yoga thing and give it a try with us.

Have you felt more exhausted sitting at your desk, working all day? Try this to energize your mind & body. Move with your breath and focus on your inhales and exhales. Do this for yourself- even if you're not confined to your cubicle.

  • We witnessed the early morning with beautiful sunshine peaking through the windows!! ☀️ Same again tomorrow and Thursday morning open. •YOGA EN EL TRABAJO•🧘🏻‍♀️ Muchos de ustedes están de vuelta en sus escritorio/oficinas, así que quería compartir este estiramiento de pecho y hombros de modo de que puedan hacerlo un par de veces esta semana mientras trabajan. Especialmente quienes trabajan frente a la computadora largas horas 💻🖥 ~

Alivia la tensión alrededor de los hombros, el cuello y la zona superior de la espalda. También ayuda a abrir y estirar la parte frontal del pecho, incluidos los pectorales. ~

Asegúrense que la parte posterior del cráneo se mueva hacia arriba y hacia atrás para que la cabeza esté centrada entre los hombros y el mentón paralelo al suelo. Encuentren una manera cómoda de sentarse, en la silla o en el piso, manteniendo la columna vertebral derecha y erecta. Lo ideal es practicar la postura y respirar durante al menos 5 ciclos de respiración completa y profunda. A medida de la práctica el cuerpo deja de tensar, pasa a cooperar y la postura cambia y mejora.

La práctica es de constancia y paciencia, los beneficios muy alcanzables y duraderos.

La práctica crea El Progreso😃

  • Anyone else feeling a little blah with these misty gray days we are having in NYC? A seated twist always helps to invigorate me on a day like this - try it at your desk to snap back into work mode! (and then, see @WorkFromOm archives for more!)👇🏼
The spinal cord, housed within the spine, controls the functions of our entire body - every cell, tissue and organ. Healthy spine = healthy life. Treat it right 👌🏼 do a seated twist: 🐍 (sound on for some mesmerizing tunes 🎶 🤤 ⭕️ 🐠 🎸)
Start with feet firmly planted, hips square. 
Inhale to lengthen, exhale to bring one hand to the outside of the opposite knee. 
Twists are all about finding LENGTH⬆️, before twisting. So inhale again to lift crown of head, exhale to twist, and look over the back shoulder. 
You can use the back hand to grip onto whatever is behind you (a chair, the ground, etc.) to further help steer your twist. 
Twists stimulate blood flow and massage the organs - use this seated twist as a mid-day pick me up, or for a little detox after a night out! 🙏🏼

  • It's time to get back to doing 12 Sun Salutations Everyday 🌞 I feel like I lost some arm strength along the way and I'm not a happy camper about it 😕💪🏽Did you know Sun Salutations can help strengthen the muscles of shoulders, arms, and chests? I mean it does a lot of other great shit too. Look it up. And why not join me too! 
Additionally, I'm joining and supporting @bettylovesgymyoga and @reneeraqsandruns with #youcancountonmefall2018 A support system of like minded people with their own individual goals. I hereby commit to 12 Sun Salutations every day. ✋🏽 Here's a quick clip of the last few I did at work...before I got interrupted 😔😬 (speed x4) Not the best view, well maybe for some 🍑🤣🙈
