  • Often people misinterpret the meaning of yoga, narrowing it down to the body, or just the asans.

The real meaning of yoga is union.. the ultimate union that traces us back to our ancestors on the blue planet. There is so much more to the practice of yoga in addition to asan practice, such as pranayam, meditation, self study, compassion and love. If you are doing any of those things during the day, you are doing the yoga.

If you are sitting in a bus, meditating on a passing tree, that is as good a definition of yoga as me letting go through asan practice and self rehabilitation in this video.

Don’t be so hard on yourself! Your Best Is Enough.

Every morning I wake up early while the sky is still dark and make my way to the terrace at Tribu Hostal to practice yoga as the sun rises
.
Sometimes other people will come upstairs to see the sunrise too; they are kind enough to respect that I am practicing and we share the space together
. 
The other morning, the sun rise was so beautiful and the colours were unreal. I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful sunrises I have seen, in comparison to the one I was lucky enough to view in Flores, Guatemala . 
A girl had joined me on the terrace, not to practice yoga but to enjoy the view of the ever changing sky. I didn’t know it at the time but she had taken a few photos of me during my practice (I was kind of in the way of the sunrise, but like I said, I’m usually the only person who wakes up before the sun at Tribu Hostal) and captured the amazing colors of the clouds
.
The pictures are so lovely, the girl who took the photos sent them to me later in the evening and I am so very grateful for that. They were a complete surprise to me and gave me a bit of remembrance from the beautiful morning I had spent on the terrace
.
A little act of kindness from a stranger that filled me with such gratitude. ♥️

I love arm balances but as someone that didnt have any upper body strength these asanas came to me after lots of practice, falls and countless repetitions.
We are starting with baby Crow which even though is called “baby” 😉 its way harder than the regular Crow💪
I will recommend practicing the regular Crow pose first and once you have the stability to hold it than try this one.
Cant wait to check the gallery and all your awesome strong balances 😘
