  • My other bargain all season wreath from Winners. It came with the white pumpkins . I don't have this one out for summer because of the pinecones but I hang it in the living room at Christmas minus the pumpkins a d add pale silky poinsettias. A great thrift save for $8.99 regular over $80.00.

Winners and HomeSense reduce their Autumn decor quickly so watch for it at the end of September.

  • Did some Autumn decorating on the farm today. This was one of the two wreaths I bought last Autumn reduced at Winners. It came like this...for summer I take off the sunflowers and add hydrengas and for Christmas I add white poinsettias. 3 wreaths for the price of one and for $8.99 regular over $80.00 that is a bargain. Plus I only have to store two wreaths from January to April.

  • This picture does not do this bike rim wreath justice, but I thought I’d tease with this blurry picture first😜 It’s the first rim wreath I have ever done and while it’s going to be super hard for me to part with it, this beauty will be available on my FB live sale happening Wednesday, August 28th at 6pm MST! Hope to see you there and please head to my stories to vote on whether or not you’d like to see some of my vintage finds for sale in my live video also🙇🏻‍♀️ Thanks friends and happy weekending!

  • Save these calligraphy tips😍Hi! @inkingwithjoy here! Today, I'll be sharing my take on the letter G (swipe to see!) and talking about my art journey so far!
About the prompt:
I’m working on the letter G here and this is actually one of my more favorite letters because of the different ovals that I can achieve here. Lots of flourishes are always fun to play with too! Although I’m not so good at it, I decided to show my work in a copperplate/spencerian/modern calligrapy style all rolled into one. I’m known for replicating certain scripts and adding my own touch! I’m such a rebel that way. LOL!
My art journey and supplies I use:
I started my art journey 3 years ago and I’m totally self taught! I was into brush lettering at first, did about a year in that style and then dove in head first to pointed pen calligraphy. I am all for learning different scripts and making them in my own interpretation! I also love BLACK paper and Bleed Proof White ink - which is almost like my signature style (however I’m not using those supplies in this post... LOL)
More about me:
Believe it or not, i raise show chickens and show pigeons!
A helpful art tip!
My most helpful tip to you is to NEVER GIVE UP! Keep practicing daily and don’t worry if things don’t turn out the way you envision it, that’s the only way you will improve.

  • Hi! @ninathidalgo here! Today, I'll be sharing my take on painting leaves in miniature and talking about my art journey so far! Swipe to see!

About the prompt. Since I am into miniature painting, I did a mini leafy background of the letter O using only the color Orange in different shades for my rainbow series.

I was about to give up painting a year ago because I thought it's not getting me anywhere but you have to understand, I was having a lot of emotional postpartum breakdowns. Anyway, I came across a local business in here, the Philippines and they
helped me rekindle my love for tiny things through their handmade journals. I tried again and little did I know one of my mini paintings was viewed and saved hundred thousand times over Instagram. That was insane in a very very good way. Up until now, I still do mini painting and I guess I found my home through it. Let me also share that my mini paintings are even more made beautifully with the help of my Princeton brushes.

I am also a Modern Calligrapher and my medium is, tadaa... watercolors! Though I started with brush pens, I am more comfortable using watercolors. Right now, I am exploring gouache and acrylics :) You might hear a baby talking in the background of my video processes because I have a 20-month old tiny human who is showing interest in painting too so she always talks to me whenever I film and that inspires me a lot to better my best.

My constant tip for everyone who asks is that practice makes progress.

  • Hi, Shie Sison of @sisondesigns here!

Today, I want to share with you all a fun way of creating & painting scroll banner designs (with a bonus of floral & leaf elements!). I usually work on various art styles depending on the project / client requirement and for this particular prompt, I’m excited to show you my way of doing the wet-on-wet technique along with a dash of wet-on-dry for the details. Scroll through the video and there’s a brief step by step process which I included for you all to see!

A little something about me...I am a professional Interior Designer turned full-time creative entrepreneur, designer & illustrator since 2016. I have worked with various clients both locally & internationally and have created a vast portfolio of designs. I also do calligraphy for some well known brands here in Doha, Qatar while managing the artsy side of my whole creative journey. As a busy wife & mom, I am grateful to be able to manage family time with my work schedule, thanks to the support of my husband & daughter throughout the whole process.

A li’l fun fact though... I’ve been a pool hustler (billiards) since the age of 4! My family & I used to have a medium-sized pool table in our old house. I’ve also been into softball, volleyball & swimming which creates my sporty arena outside my paints & brushes.

Before I let you go, let me share with you one important art tip that I always, always carry with me... Never stop exploring! Whatever you have started, always research on ways you can better yourself - your techniques, your materials and your general perspective of your art journey. Who knows, you might wake up one day and find yourself inspiring others while realizing you were also inspired before from artists/designers you’ve looked up to since then as they are now to you- what could be more rewarding & humbling than that right?

I hope y’all have a great day! Cheers! xoxo

  • Hi! @kristinakemenikova here!
About the prompt (swipe to see): This illustration I created shows in an informative way why is it good to grow a cactus. I love to create illustrations which can also give informations and can make people smile.
My art journey and supplies I use: I have been painting since I was a child with a long break and about 3 years ago I started to paint again. I just felt like to create and since that there isn’t a day without painting for me. I mainly use watercolours/ aquarelle medium in my work and sometimes gouache as well.
More about me : I am a nature lover person with a big addiction to plant love. I have 4 dogs, 3 cats, loads of plants and flowers and I live in a 150 yrs old cottage near a beautiful river.
A helpful art tip: whenever you feel like you want to create just do it and let your imagination lead you and whenever you feel like you don’t know what to paint just go for a walk to get some inspiration.

  • Hi! Jenny of @theafterseven here! Today, I’m going to share the process on how I create envelopes with vintage- inspired watercolor painting as well as my art journey 🌿

About the prompt: I love vintage stuff and as an artist, I prefer subtle colors over bright ones. So in my process, I used dark and brown-ish colors for this artwork .

It’s been almost 3 years since I first explored the art of calligraphy and during that time, I never expected that I’d fall in love in this art. All my life I believed in the thought I’m not artistic and it’s nothing but a frustration. Not until I encountered calligraphy which made me realized that anything can be learned as long as we pour ourselves into it. Passion fueled me and as years pass by, I was given opportunities to explore more art mediums like watercolor and acrylic.

I named my page The After Seven because I used to work as a Certified Public Accountant ‪from 9 AM to 7 PM‬ and I was only able to do things that I’m passionate about.. after 7 (pm) ☺️ My excitement when it comes to art never changed. I’m still enthusiastic to learn something new and explore techniques. I’m happy that I’m also able to share what I know  through workshops ☺️
