  • SQUAT PROGRESSION 😇
First time trying to barbell squat vs now! So satisfying seeing yourself getting stronger! Took me a long time to practice technique/form with ligther weight cause i used to do half squats (not going low enough) with heavy weights and call it a squat lmfao 💀I finally feel like im able to progress & i’m slowly increasing the weight! Cannot wait to hit a full plate vvvvv sooon 🙏

Lack of confidence keeps us from doing the things that we REALLY want to. Trust me, I know. For YEARS I lived this way. But then I realized that self confidence isn’t about thinking “people will like you”. Self confidence is not caring if they do. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Doing YOU regardless of what others think. Someone will always judge you. You will always be too loud for one person and too quiet for someone else. But what matters is how YOU feel inside. One way that INSTANTLY  can boost your confidence is dressing the part. Let’s be real people. If you look GOOD you feel GOOD. 💖💖💖 We all have that sweater, dress, jeans, leggings, something that makes us feel like a million bucks. Lack of confidence is what keeps most people out of the gym. You know what can help that?? A cute workout outfit! And no...you don’t have to spend hundreds of dollars to do this. Some of my favorite low cost workout goods come from @walmart and @jcpenney!!! But if you are already a little self conscious about being at the gym and you show up in your husbands sweatpants and a t-shirt that are three sizes too big, that’s NOT going to help your confidence. Also it’s not going to work for you! When exercising you NEED clothes that fit you. You will feel SO much better in a well fitting outfit, and you will be able to perform better in clothes that fit you! I promise you!! 💖💖💖 So....find YOUR style. And maybe you feel healthy and confident in a t-shirt. Maybe it’s a tank. Maybe it’s black leggings or maybe it’s hot pink leopard leggings. WHATEVER it is find something that makes you feel CONFIDENT. You deserve it!! 💖💖💖 #gymtips #dressthepart #selfconfidence #yougotthis

  • This morning I jumped on the scale and thought “🤬” because the number hadn’t really changed in the past month, it was INCREDIBLY disheartening. So then I walked myself to the mirror to pick myself apart and instead I found myself saying, damn girl look at your back, your stomach is smaller than its ever been, your legs look strong, your shoulders look great….I’m shook to say the least. 💁🏻‍♀️I mean YES I do want that number on the scale to go down (no shame in that), but I am so happy with how far I have come. My mentality changed a lot and that is a huge victory.
