  • Had a lovely time celebrating the first night of #passover last night. This feast includes mock chopped liver by @wendysolganik, tempeh with lemon, capers and white wine (omg, @dreenaburton you are a genius!!), and quinoa salad with a magic green sauce by @pinchofyum. Taste buds were dancing 🕺 and singing 🎤 .

Hope everyone has a wonderful #passover2019 or #easter2019 holiday!!

  • #ad The time has come for me to finally share the perfect vegan quiche recipe with all of you! 2 ways!
.
I am super excited to say that I am teaming up with @justforall to feature their amazing product, the JUST Egg! As you guys know, I have been playing with different plant-based egg options and it wasn’t until I started working with this product that I was able to achieve the results I was looking for. And they are excellent. This product tastes like eggs- it’s fluffy, filling, and loaded with protein. I have been recipe testing obsessively with it and I must say- I absolutely love it. The best part? It’s made from mung beans! Shook!
.
As for the quiche recipe, I’ve created two flavor combinations for all of you to try: Bacon Shallot + Spinach Tomato Dill. These would work perfectly for any brunch and breakfast endeavors you have coming up, especially for Easter Sunday and for Mother’s Day. I have linked the recipe for you in my bio so go check it out and let me know if you make it! .
I have some more recipe ideas and inspiration using the JUST Egg coming up soon, so stay tuned. Until then, have a lovely weekend!

  • So many of us have lost the ability to eat intuitively. 😔 Did you know that our stomachs have receptors that indicate to us when we're hungry, and when we're full? Our bodies want to be working WITH us, not against us.
.
But when we eat meat, dairy, eggs, oils, and other high-calorie processed foods it becomes almost impossible to "feel" when we're full. We'd have to eat WAY more calories than we need to activate those tummy stretch receptors.
.
Eating plant-based whole foods that are rich in fiber can change that. We can once again start to tune into our bodies and sense when we are hungry, when we need to eat more food, and when we're full (without loading up on way too many calories). We can stop counting calories and start to eat intuitively.
.
This graphic helps explain why so many people tend to fall to their "natural" weight when they start eating plant-based. You'll often see people eating plant-based lose weight even though they are eating more food than before because even though they’re eating more volume, they’re eating far fewer calories.
.
So, friends, let's work with our bodies and fill our bellies with healthy, nutrient-rich whole foods! - @MichelleCehn 👩🏼‍🌾
