Olli
- The Peene is one of the last true rivers we have in Germany and is often referred to as the Amazon of the North. Why? Especially because of its little impact by industry and humans and hence its natural state with high numbers of plants, birds and other animal species. You can find many rare animals such as the beaver, white-tailed eagle and osprey on a canoe trip along the river.
But why are untouched natural rivers so scarce in Europe? Naturally, a river is an ever-changing ecosystems that continuously creates new meander. But because we want to make these rivers navigable for boat traffic we have to slow them down and straighten them. We build dams and other structures which causes serious damage towards the river as an ecosystem as well as it inhabitants. Dams for example prevent many fishes from migrating towards their spawning waters which are often located in either the ocean or the river.
Luckily a lot is changing over the last years with the Water Framework Directive many parts are renaturalized or help in form of fish ladders is built.
If you want to flee the stress of the city for a weekend I can highly recommend you a canoe trip on one of the last wild places in Germany. Every now and then there are little camp sites where you can rest for the night and continue your journey the next day. Everything was flooded when we visited but that's part of a natural ecosystem. And if you are lucky enough you will spot a beaver swimming from side to side in the evening light. It's a gem and certainly so relaxing! 🚣♀️🏕

- „How beautiful it is that you are starting to see: what you are learning in the present moment is tied to deeper things. What your eyes are being opened to is all a part of what is preparing you for meaningful things that will come to life beautifully and purposefully in their time.
And while living in the present moment can be exciting, it can also be terrifying, as you try to embrace the adventure of the journey, while avoiding the fall into the recklessness. And as you seek to live in the now, you might still have your doubts...this restless inner wonder that pulls you from the now, and into feelings about the past and how things should have happened differently.
But as you walk through the forest of all of these things, may you cling all the more to peace. For high above the treelines of deeply rooted uncertainty, peace is endless and it is boundless and it is exactly what you need to be reminded that the present moment is where you need to be. And not because the future or the past does not matter, but because you were made to open your eyes, and breathe deep, and come alive right here. You were made to step forward into the what this very moment brings, no matter your fears and no matter your uncertainties.
And one day in the future, you will be so grateful that you chose to make the most of moments like this. You will be so glad that you chose to be rooted and grounded in the present moment, even before you knew what was going to happen. And not because you had everything figured out, but because you knew without a doubt that there was grace to come alive and thrive here, no matter the wild of your unknowns.
May every moment of everyday be filled with this kind of peace: peace that says, “my soul will be unmoved, no matter what comes before me. My heart will still seek joy, no matter my uncertainty.”
You are on a journey, and you are headed toward beautiful life-giving things. May you remember that this present moment has things to be gathered to make it there.“ // @morganharpernichols #berlinblossom

Since a few weeks I am traveling Berlin with this electric drive from @unu and I just love it ♥️ Since my time in Asia I really enjoy riding scooter, especially in busy cities - you‘ll always get a parking spot and the traffic doesn’t matter 😏 The Scooter from @unu is something special - it’s electric ⚡️ Charging this Ride costs about 0,80€ and the range is about 90km - this is super cheap and more then enough for a few city tours 🛵 There are also no exhaust gases and no pollution - which is amazing 🌍 For me as a Berlin photographer it’s the best way to travel several photo locations especially with the heavy equipment 📸 I am always on time - thank you @unu ♥️
My buddy @susonsjack helped me out and took this shots from me - million thanks bro ♥️ We used the Canon EOS R with the RF 50mm F1.2 L USM Lens. This Lens is super awesome 🔥 The image quality is next level and photosensitivity is amazing 🤤 This series is taken with F1.2 - what do you think about it and which one is your favourite?

After a long day exploring through Bavaria and being to multiple places such as the Neuschwanstein Castle, I slept on a parking lot in my car in front of this beautiful lake under the full moon🌕 I woke up at 5am and went for a walk around the lake and this was what I found as a view hidden behind some leaves🌿
Side Note: Due to the full moon, I could only sleep for 2-3 hours that night😬
