  • Sometimes self love looks like this. Many of us, especially young black lgbt youth have lost our father figures at young ages. We grow up figuring out manhood on our own. We make bad decisions, are blamed easily and most of us never get a chance to fix the wrongs... Growing up I had many, many examples of what not to do, and I believe that’s what saved my life thus far. Tbh, at this point though the horizons are new, being “grown grown” is different from being focused in school and getting my degree. The rest of life awaits, and I’m out here doing it my way. There are bound to be mistakes and missteps. But regardless, I’m thankful to be alive! I’m thankful for a good head that leads me towards good vybes and energy! Everything else materializes in its own. For us souls who have been challenged by loss, slavery, separation, neglect- I pray with you, that you choose to believe in the version of you that can be who they dream to be! That’s my vision, that’s my prayer, that’s my manifestation- NO EXCUSES, just real, hard feelings to digest and lots of positive flow to create.   • My current go-to breakfast:
Oats, walnuts, hemp seeds, biodynamic/organic natural yogurt, nut milk and dates.

Lots of nutrition here, including fibre, B12, omega 3 fatty acids and protein. All super important for gut health and maintaining healthy nerves and red blood cells.

Studies have found B12 to not only be important in energy production but also combating depression. You can find B12 in pretty much all sources for animal foods or you can supplement if you adhere to a plant-based diet. If you feel that you’ve been feeling a little out of sorts - tired, unmotivated or feeling down - I highly recommend getting your iron and B12 levels checked.

  • Cuando corres un maratón el kilómetro 28 es el momento donde golpea "la pared". A nivel psicológico es ese momento en el que sientes que no puedes más, y ves el resto de la carrera como interminable. A nivel físico es el momento en el que las reservas de glucógeno se acaban y tu cuerpo entra en ketosis. En cristiano, se acabó el azúcar y a tu cerebro no le gusta nada. A todos los corredores les pasa,  pero comprender el fenómeno ayuda a manejarlo de una manera más efectiva. Del mismo modo a todos nos llegan momentos de pared, en el que nos sentimos desorientados, desanimados y desgastados. Escribo este post precisamente porque aunque seas una persona que se gestiona muy bien, este puede ser un momento en el que te encuentres así. 
Pero porque? Hay varias posibles causas:
1) 🥺 El síndrome post vacacional: luego del relajo y la alegría de las fiestas, han pasado tres semanas de adaptación a la rutina de enero, lo que implica cambios en el sueño, alimentación y Finanzas. La gente que además se endeudó en Navidades percibe el impacto con mayor fuerza y antes del desahogo del fin de mes. En algunas fuentes lo llaman "blue Monday". Hay en YouTube una entrevista que me hicieron hace unos años sobre ese fenómeno. Estaba más gordita así que aprovechen de chequear el video y mi progreso, trataré de ponerlo en el bio
2) 🧥La depresión estacional: en el hemisferio norte, esta época coincide con bajas temperaturas y poco sol, que afectan nuestro humor. 
3) 🤧🤒 Cambios en el sistema inmune: si sumamos el mal humor, agotamiento y cambios de clima, la probabilidad de ser más propensos a resfriados aumentan, la guinda de la torta pues.
4) 👯👯‍♂Poca red de apoyo social: algunas personas pueden extrañar mucho a su familia y amigos en estas fechas, sobre todo luego de la pausa de Navidad donde tendemos a hablar más con ellos. 
A mí me pasó esta semana, y como con la pared, entender las causas me ayudó a manejarlo.

Мне когда-то очень нравилась песня Полины Гагариной, которая сейчас крутится в голове и влезла в мой заголовок.

Моей младшей дочке в конце декабря исполнилось 3 года, а это значит что?

Что закончился декретный отпуск. 5 лет и 10 месяцев суммарно он продлился с учётом новогодних праздников. От этой цифры небольшой шок🤪. Когда? Когда они успели пролететь?
⠀
Я уже привыкла к распорядку дня домохозяйки, но хотелось очень смены деятельности. Точнее возвращения к работе. Пусть пока и в найм, я вот совсем не боюсь, тем более, что работа моя мне в общем нравится. Да, есть нервяки, но в общем и целом все хорошо: приятный коллектив, грамотное руководство, работа с людьми и крутым информационным продуктом.

Понадобилось 2 дня, чтобы все вспомнить, а потом в бой. Это как кататься на велосипеде 🚴 - навык уже на подкорке.
⠀
А что же Орифлэйм?
Он в моем сердце♥️. Я активно пользуюсь продукцией, все так же делюсь с вами своими отзывами. Не для того, чтобы продать, а чтобы вы тоже оценили эффект от использования и посмотрели под другим углом на бренд, к которому у многих до сих пор предвзятое отношение.

Супчики Wellness у меня всегда на обед. Коллеги сворачивают голову от аромата спаржевого, но пока вопросы не задают🤐. А я наслаждаюсь его вкусом😋, лёгкостью и пользой.

Ежедневный уход от NovAge - это уже моя жизнь🥰. Декоративная косметика тоже вся от Орифлэйм, и я каждый день экспериментирую. Люблю макияж.

Единственное НО - сейчас приходится вставать раньше всех, чтобы навести красоту. А потом детей в сад собирать🙈.
Очень жду, когда утром будет не мрак, а светло. А то пока тяжко вставать😴.

  • “The unexamined life is not worth living”
Analyze your habits, surrounds, actions, food choices, etc. Ask yourself, is this it? Is it worth my attention? When you place yourself in this/that situation, is this where you want to be at given moment? Analyzing doesn’t necessarily mean plan ahead, setting goals higher than your head, or writing everything down. It means a lot of things but personally, it means bringing myself to the present moment, looking around, listening to the sounds the world makes; then the thought 🧠 generation starts and I’m in tune. It means some days doing nothing, but Indulge my whole presence into whatever is in front of my eyes; whether it be an empty room to initiate my practice of the day 🧘‍♀️ or the variety of personalities I’m faced with. I strive to be as real as currently looking at my phone screen, typing this down, wondering if I should post this. 
Regain control of your days,
You have choices at every moment 💪🏻
By choosing who you want to be today, you’ll secure who you want to be in the future

  • Who needs a bowl when you’ve got an ice cream tub? 😜  I’ve just discovered @judesicecream vegan oat based salted caramel ice cream and oh boy, I am one happy lady! For dessert earlier this week I topped mine with sliced banana, some vegan chocolate and crunchy peanut butter and then tucked in until I was fully satisfied. Let’s just say I made good progress with the tub, but thankfully there’s still some leftover for another time!

To stock up yourself, especially whilst so many people are trying #Veganuary (or trying to embrace a more plant heavy diet like me 🙃) then head to @sainsburys for their full vegan range - they’e got a vanilla, chocolate and salted caramel flavour... Let me know which is your favourite once you’ve given them a go! ✨

Language is a tool that we invented out of a need to express ourselves and to interact with others, but we have to recognize it’s limitations.⠀

  • Sometimes a new year can create unnecessary expectations to work harder, reach higher, and ultimately, change. The thing is, we are already working hard, healing, learning and unlearning, and striving to be better all of the time. The emphasis placed on the arbitrary date of January 1st just ends up creating extra pressure and can lead us to feel like we’re failing.

  • Sometimes a new year can create unnecessary expectations to work harder, reach higher, and ultimately, change. The thing is, we are already working hard, healing, learning and unlearning, and striving to be better all of the time. The emphasis placed on the arbitrary date of January 1st just ends up creating extra pressure and can lead us to feel like we’re failing.
