  • had a pretty good upper body workout today💕⁣
went light on cardio because i was pressed for time and my quads are dead from my workout yesterday.⁣
⁣
in the spirit of being cripplingly sore, i figured i’d talk to you a bit about my fave things for recovery/soreness (swipe for a pic of em):⁣
- epsom salts - these baths are life changing when you’re sore. they’re relaxing and really help ease the pain in my experience!⁣
- HYDRATE - keep drinking your water, your body needs it! staying properly hydrated always helps me feel so much better after an intense workout. ⁣
- foam rolling - this one i use for more long term issues/knots/tightness. it hurts like heck but i feel so good after, it’s worth it. ⁣
- pain cream - this one is from @justcbd, and i’ve fallen in love! it’s similar to a bengay or icy hot cream but has 200mg of CBD (hemp derived) for the added benefits of relaxation. #affiliate (code Kennedy20 will save you some money too)! #justcbd ⁣

I lost myself ! I had to realize two butterfingers and a bag of chips at the end of every shift was not okay. I finally came to my senses and started out hitting the gym and cutting back on the snacks, very happy ! I couldn’t have felt any better,lighter, and my clothes getting loose ! Had it not been for a regular routine visit to the doctor that my whole life would change, I saw 278 on that scale 278 !!!! I told myself what did you weigh before you started 300 ?! I was angry sad frustrated, just all the above. I knew I had to make a permanent lifestyle change ! Thank God for a wonderful friend that came in my life that knew enough about diet and exercise to get my started, from there I was introduced to my first trainer/nutritionist.
. I got addicted to the person I saw in the mirror, and as I was doing this my relations hip with God was blooming into something so amazing and personal I couldn’t resist ! I prayed and asked him to guide me while I was on my new journey and to keep me on it, but not only for me for my child that needed a healthy mother here ! Yes, I’ve had several setbacks, and gained several of those pounds back and yes I could have lost alot of weight sooner but everyone’s journey is different and challenges do come , but I’m not letting up ! I still have a ways to go to what I want to see in the mirror but consistency and the his hand on me is what will get me there ! So here I am about 3 years in and almost 100lbs gone !! _____________________________________

It never hit me how much weight I lost, until @shawnbaker1967 pointed it out to me during our HPO podcast (episode 123). At my heaviest I was around 220 lbs. Being that heavy you don't get on the scale much, never mind go clothes shopping. Even though, I was winning in my career goals, I felt lethargic & exhausted all the time and simply did not feel good about myself. I was settling for a lot in life. At the end of 2018, I made a decision to start choosing differently and stopped investing in dead places. Life got really uncomfortable and also exciting. This morning I weighed in at 128 lbs. When you let go of the weight of the dead places, it reflects in your mindset and health. Cultivating a mindset of not settling is uncomfortable. But it is good to get uncomfortable because that is how you have a Breakthrough and a return to health & purpose @carnivoeketocoach and I invite you to join our free FB community Mind Body BREAKTHROUGHS.   • PSA - when you’re lacking that motivation, grab a buddy and get to work! You’re less likely to bail on a. Workout when you’ve committed your time to someone else, right? Granted, this was a last minute, “hey wanna workout” text, but it still goes without saying, right? 💁🏼‍♀️ Feeling less like myself still, but managed to squeeze out a quick HIIT/core workout followed by 150 wall balls {my favorite... 🙄} with @k_rothbart

The girl on the left was so lost, she was dying to be “skinny” and comparing herself to every super fit “fitspo” on Instagram. She was severely undereating , starving , and had such anxiety around food and social events.

I feel amazing waking up each day with 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙮, 𝙞𝙢 𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙩 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙚𝙧 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙚 𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙮𝙢. I love fueling my body with food.   • This mock potato salad is so good it’s stupid. This post does come with a blog recipe BUT that’s not what we’re here to talk about today. ♡

We’re all just doing our best, strive for progress and not perfection. Give yourself some credit for once and stop beating yourself up for whatever it is that’s not perfect in your life. The point is to keep going, to keep moving with grace and continue towards your goals. Remember, “most people overestimate what they can accomplish in a year – and underestimate what they can achieve in a decade.” -TR ♡ -

So, if this week you cheated on your “diet” or if you’re trying to go “vegan” but can’t seem to give up your favorite cheese, yet. AND I bet you had that favorite cheese of yours FAAAAR less than you’ve ever had before. PROGRESS. Focus on all the changes, even if they are small, those are the important building blocks to reaching goals. And while we’re at it, here’s our daily reminder to stop comparing ourselves to others. You’re doing great. ♡

  • Der erste Sommer mit Normalgewicht. 
Der erste seit...immer? 
Ich kann mich nicht erinnern in den heißen Monaten einmal unbedacht baden gehen zu können, in der Öffentlichkeit ein Eis gegessen, oder kurze Hosen angehabt zu haben. 
Alles war immer verbunden mit dem Gedanken daran was irgendwelche Leute über mich denken, wie ich beurteilt werde und dass es einfach unschön ist, wenn ich kurze Sachen trage. Ich habe mich versteckt hinter langen Ärmeln und Hosen, lieber geschwitzt bzw. nach draußen zu gehen vermieden, damit ich nicht in die Gefahr komme mich eventuellen Kommentaren auszusetzen. 
Letztes Jahr um diese Zeit hatte ich schon viel an Gewicht verloren, bekam das erste Mal seit langem eine Idee davon wie es sein kann den Sommer wie viele andere einfach zu genießen. 
Ich war das erste Mal seit Jahren am See, hab bedenkenlos in der Öffentlichkeit gegessen und Kleider getragen. 
Diesen Sommer jetzt werde ich in vollen Zügen genießen. Ich werde so oft es geht rausgehen, aktiv sein, all die Dinge tun, die ich mir selbst die Jahre über verwehrt habe. 
Nie wieder wird mein Körper und mein eigenes Bild zu ihm mich so einschränken wie all die Jahre zuvor. 
Ich werde mein Leben genießen. Und versuchen ein Teil von dem aufzuholen, was ich all die Jahre verpasst habe. ♥️

1. BREAKFAST: (50% from the total carbs of the day): oatmeal with 40 g oats, 2 tbsp coconut flakes, 1 tsp dark cocoa powder, half banana
.
2. LUNCH: (15% carbs of the day): 1 egg with 1 slice cheese, 250 g 5% carbs vegetables of you choice , 30 g high fiber seed crackers
.
3. SNACK: (20%) 1 cup raspberries, 1 small apple, 2 tbsp peanut butter ( 20 g)
.
4. DINNER: (15%) low fat mozzarella ( 8 small balls) 1 big tomato ,  6 large olives, lettuce, 1 tbsp olive oil, balsamic vinegar and 40 g rye cracker
.

* Low carb days are ok here and there, but make sure you still get your B vitamins from food, you're healthy and you're well informed/ supervised by your doctor/dietitian
