So I never usually post my breakfast because it’s always the same! 
2 weatabix, semi skimmed milk and banana or strawberries.
It really fills me up until lunch time and never get to eat all of it because obviously have to share with girls🙄😂 Aching after yesterday’s work out so looking forward to a run today to loosen up👌🏻🏃🏽‍♀️

Most of us know that the best source of Vitamin D is from direct contact with the sun on our skin. The best time to get this in the UK is between late March until around the end of September (depending on the quality of our summer). ⁣

☀️ Why is it so important? ⁣☀️
⁣
Vitamin D regulates the absorption of calcium and phosphorus and helps to facilitate normal immune function. Getting a sufficient amount of vitamin D is important for normal growth and development of bones and teeth, as well as improved resistance against certain diseases. ⁣
⁣
There is also some studies that suggest vitamin D can be beneficial for those who suffer with anxiety and depression, and others that claim that the sunshine vitamin can have a weight control benefit (calcium+vitD had an appetite suppressing effect in one study). ⁣
⁣
Dietary sources: ⁣
🐟 Oily fish – like salmon, sardines, mackerel⁣
🥩 Red meat and liver (grass fed)⁣

Transformation Tuesday! The photo on the left was when I was pregnant with Leo. The crazy thing is right before I started the @21daymealplan six months ago, I had gotten back up to my heaviest pregnancy weight, but I wasn't pregnant. That was a huge wake up call to me. Seeing 260 pounds on my 5'4 body scared me. As a nurse, I knew where my health was headed and it wasn't good. Today I am so so thankful to feel better, to have good health and to be helping others get theirs back too. ❤️ ___

If your goal is to lose fat, gain muscle or get stronger, you should ALWAYS do your strength training first.⁣
⁣
For fat loss, your first priority will be nutrition and specifically a calorie deficit. After that, strength training should be #2 on the list. It will have a much more profound impact on fat loss than cardio.⁣

Lifting:⁣
⁣
1. Burns Calories⁣
⁣
2. Builds Muscle⁣
⁣
3. Increases Strength⁣
⁣
4. Raises Metabolism for 24-48 Hours⁣
⁣
5. Completely Reshapes Your Body⁣
⁣
Cardio burns calories, and *can* raise metabolism for 24-48 hours if done at a high enough intensity (HIIT). That’s it. You reap none of the other benefits listed above.⁣
⁣
For gaining muscle, hopefully it’s pretty obvious you should prioritize weight training over cardio. Nuff said.⁣
⁣
Strength - same holds true. If you do too much cardio before your strength training, your overall energy levels and strength will be impaired.⁣
⁣
A few notes:⁣
⁣
I am NOT anti-cardio. Cardio-loving people please don’t comment on how I hate cardio because I don’t. I am *anti-prioritizing cardio over strength if fat loss, muscle gain or strength is your goal*. Cardio has it’s place if you have time for it.⁣

If you walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes before your strength training, you’ll probably be fine. But that’s more of a warm up and not a structured cardio session. Don’t confuse them.⁣
