We brewed @detourcoffee's naturally processed Mokonisa Kercha Ethiopian beans 9 different ways with the French Press (different grind sizes, water ratios and temperatures) ☕ ⁣ ⁣ Thank you @vancouvercoffeesnob & @c41coffeeshop for hosting and @olesyabrizhak for brewing 💕⁣ ⁣ 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬: Super stoked to have won one of the gorgeous @esproinc French Press!   • This is a place to call home. I’ve heard a lot from the guys over at @palletcoffee , that it has some of the best coffee/cafe balance in the city, but my one experience at the Kingsway location was tainted due to my health at the time. I recently visited their location over on Hastings and Semlin and now I see what people are talking about. After chatting with my barista I came to the realization that this is now one of my favourite places, and this is why. Pallet is a place to call home. Their locations are spread out amongst Vancouver, some in busier areas like Kingsway, but some some tucked away in a neighbourhood like Hastings. From the hanging light bulbs, to the white and woodgrain aesthetic, the large windows, the music, the food, this is a place where people can take their friends, come on their own, or even come to just taste solid coffee. During the morning it’s nice and quiet, and during the weekends/afternoon it’s quietly buzzing with healthy conversation. There are outlets spread throughout, the commissary kitchen in house, a tasting room upstairs, and tables that are movable to the size of your specific group. Not to mention the staff are super friendly, smiling, delivering drinks to you, and always running to help if you need it. This has been one of the biggest turnarounds for me in my cafe adventures so far. Can’t recommend this location enough! Coffee Review tomorrow, and check the story for the report card!

  • Started the weekend with a visit to Agro to pick up a bag of their newest coffee! It's a collaboration with 50% Columbian beans from @agroroasters and 50% Ethiopian beans from @houseoffunkbrewing 😍⁣ ⁣ There's a limited quantity available at both cafes so go get them before it's gone 🏃🏻‍♀️! ⁣ ⁣ 𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐝: Oat Milk Cortado ordered via @getsiply 🙌⁣ ⁣ #SlotheeCoffee

  • Sighing 😥 .....so accidents happen.....but DONUT worry.....at the end of the day, everything will be MATCHA better..... ___ Today, I checked out a new MATCHA POP-UP CAFE in VANCOUVER. While trying to take a picture, I accidentally dunked the matcha donut 🍃🍩 into the matcha drink 🍃🍵.
