  • LIFTING: where to start for upper body gains👇🏽
⠀⠀
1. WHEN TO START - START NOW! stop avoiding those weights and stop waiting for the “right time” ... the right time is now! The only person stopping you from making those gains is yourself so get at it🥊
⠀ 
2. WHAT WEIGHTS TO USE- I recommend starting with the basic at home dumbell weight range 1-5kg so you can get a feel of where your strength is at and what movements you can do with heavier weights (eg. Shoulder press = heavier, vs lateral raises = lighter)🏋🏽
⠀
3. WHAT TO DO- 
Start with the basics (bicep curls , tricep overhead extensions, chest press, close rows, shoulder press etc.) Then once you are familiar with these and are using the correct form, start adding more and more in, working at different angles and paces! Start to experiment and find your vibe, your fave moves, keep expanding your knowledge and keep consistent! 💪🏾

  • OBSESSION WITH PROGRESSION

When I have a client who comes in multiple times a week, I include some circuit training in between the strength training to change things up and get that heart pumping and those calories and fat burning! Obviously fuelled by @makfitness (link and code in my bio)

🏋🏽‍♀️ 20 Slam balls
🏋🏽‍♀️ 20 battle ropes 🏋🏽‍♀️ 20 tricep dips 🏋🏽‍♀️ 20 mountain climbers
🏋🏽‍♀️ 20 toes time ball touch .

👉🏼 Press the like and save button for later and do as many rounds as you like.
I suggest at least 3-4 rounds with 30-45seconds rest between rounds.

  • Weight fluctuating around 200-203 lbs at the moment, 14 lbs down from start of cut. Strength has it’s good and bad days but overall feel pretty good. .

Bulking and cutting is a common method to gain muscle.  When bulking, it is important to maintain a slight caloric surplus.  This is when you eat slightly more calories than you burn.  When cutting, you must maintain a slight caloric deficit.  This is when you eat slightly less calories than you burn each day.
