  • Gonna miss these beach days 🌞 So far I've spent the day at my laptop doing random stuff to procrastinate (including editing and posting this pic) instead of doing my course. Oops 😅 I guess I still haven't learnt how to beat procrastination despite my 4 years at uni -ok I was pretty bad at the whole uni thing admittedly. I even started reading an article on how to stop procrastinating buuut I never even finished that 😭
But I'm gonna try cut myself some slack because I haven't studied in over 2 years. Ya know, you've got be kind to yourself they say and I've always been so hard on myself. One of these days it will sink it for me (I hope!) 🌱

  • 🇬🇧 : A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words!
The quieter you become 🤫, the more you can hear 👂🏼! 🙊 Silence is our true nature and being in silence helps us experience our soul qualities such as truth, love, happiness, peace. It enriches our life with these treasures.

  • Sometimes the longest and hardest roads have the most beautiful endings. -
Battling mental health is not an easy journey but life is so worth it. When you’ve been in a relationship suffering domestic abuse of any kind, you must be kind to yourself and give yourself time to heal because everything you feel is real and everything you feel is okay. You have to protect yourself and give yourself every opportunity to recover from the abuse and move forward to a better life. It will be hard and scary and mostly overwhelming, but keep pushing through because the view from the top of the mountain is definitely worth the climb ⛰ 🏔 -
No one has the right to make you feel inferior, scared or belittled. Relationships are suppose to help you grow and be happier in life... if that isn’t the case you have every right to walk away. Psychological abuse is a real issue and is a real form of abuse. If you feel intimidated, scared or confused by the person you choose to spend your time with, then I hope you have the support systems in place to give yourself the opportunity to walk away.
-
Be strong. Be you. Give yourself everything you deserve. Time is the most expensive thing we have as we are always spending it and can never get it back. Spend it with the best people you can, don’t waste it on those that are not worthy.
-
Be free to pause.breath.travel guilt free and happy in yourself. I used travelling as an escape from an abusive relationship, it gives you the opportunity to step away and get rid of the toxic control that stops you from self-loving. Stay safe and surround yourself with love and support, always❤️❤️

  • So what if it was Ravan's palace, we still can visit it right- The Dog 🐕🐶
He was adamant and was not leaving his place, guess he also liked getting clicked 😝😀 .

Well this is Sigiriya, a 200m (660ft high rock).. a little history about this is: ( taken from Wikipedia) .
Sigiriya may be the Alakamandava (the City of the Gods) that was built up before 50 centuries ago by King Kubera who was the half-brother of Ravana (Ravan) as described in the Ramayanaya.

According to the Palm Leaf Book (Puskola Potha) of Ravana Watha (About Ravana) the architect of the Sigiriya was a Danava called Maya Danava. He built up Sigiriya on the instructions given by King Visthavasa (Vesamuni) the father of Ravana. During that period the Sigiriya was called Alakamandava and during the period of King Kuwera it was called Cithranakuta. After the death of Ravana, Vibeeshanabecame the king and he shifted the kingdom to Kelaniya. .
.

This place has beautiful structure and the struggle to climb the 660ft rock is itself a milestone and I am glad I did it, it was breathtaking.. I will be sharing more pics of this place, this has got a lot of history in it's own. ♥️♥️
