  • Windy City Baseball is looking mighty fresh with this 3' round. I played around with different layering and heights on this one and the combo of matte and flat paints really work nicely to make that pop. Now if we can just get a little baseball weather here in the Chi that'd be great ⚾️

  • WORK for IT WEDNESDAY!
As you make your 2020 goals- they may involve a career change, or finances...so hang on for some motivation in those two areas!
When I worked in Corporate America, we had a Target attached via skyway that I would hop into over lunch. You'd see others there during the day too since it was downtown. But the Targets that weren't downtown-- I always wondered, "who are these people and what do they do so they can shop at Target during the day?" You see I was already spinning my wheels at the age of 25 on how to be someone who could have more flexibility with my schedule (to shop not rushed nor crowded). Fast forward- when I wanted a way to financially add to our family income, after 4 years of me being a stay-at-home Mom (and teaching a few fitness classes and personal training a couple clients) my first goal was to pay for our monthly Target bill with my coaching income. I wanted to not feel bad if that sweater I wanted fell into my cart 😜 but also wanted to help with the groceries, diapers and the household items that starts to really add up when you have two toddlers and a new home. Going to one-income was uncomfortable when I decided to not return to corporate america, and we made it work for a few years. But as time went on, I knew I needed a "plan" for me to return to work at least when the kids were in school full-time. Money was stressing me out a bit and feeling guilty for spending but not bringing in (these were my own stresses). The desire to have a little something that I could build over time nagged on me. I wanted to start out by paying the Target bill and then have a full-time income but the time school approached. So I got to work. Hopes & dreams became plans and actions! It’s never too late. Don’t wish, just start! Your goals aren’t dumb- if they matter to you they are important.
So this week I went to Target with my Dad during the day! I also didn’t fret or feel guilty about the bill because I work for it.
Make those goals and GO! Don’t wait. Start now. You will regret NOT but you won’t regret doing! And celebrate them and keep going to keep those and make new ones if you so desire. Start small and build over time!

  • I wish I could tell you that my fitness journey is always easy, breezy, beautiful.. covergirl.. but truth is - I STRUGGLE TOO.

I don’t struggle nearly as much as I used to, but there are times where I don’t feel so fit and healthy and start feeling like I am limbo with my fitness journey and other times I feel like I could conquer the world.

Truth - from August-November I had been in serious funk with my own fitness and nutrition .. life was happening and I was going through the motions of workouts but wasn’t paying attention to eating, sleep or stress levels with personal life woes consuming me. I wasn’t taking enough time and setting intentions to take care of the big picture- mind, body, food & soul. My daily Personal Development fell out the window a bit too, which starts to bring my confidence and mindset down too. The fact that my clothes didn’t fit or the scale too a big leap up even with me still working out messed with me. But I am not looking back, just forward. I did 12 weeks of tightening things up with eating, being more PRESENT in my workouts and mind. My Personal Development got consistent again and yes I feel much more ME. I am embarking on a new fitness program to level up again- 60 days of Barre to mix things up and push me out of my comfort zone. I am NOT a dancer, but this heavy lifting or intervals lady is ready to get more flexible and carve some lean dancer muscles.
So when blips in my own journey happen, it doesn’t mean I lost all that I have put in… it just means it was a different season of my journey. Which I am TOTALLY okay with.. because now, I am in a season where I am EXCITED about my goals ahead, taking the time and leaning hard into my workouts, nutrition and ME. Blips don’t mean I stop and give up, they mean I lean IN and figure out what will help me level up again.
PROJECT getting shredded is officially in full force!! DAY TWO in the books along side so many of my gals in my Virtual Gym and I am so excited to see where this journey takes us!💪🏼A big shoutout to those starting or diving back into their fitness journey this month. YOUVE GOT THIS! I BELIEVE IN YOU!

  • Congratulations CL 11UAAA Baseball team! ⚾ .
Today, the boys were recognized at the MN St Paul Saints game for good sportsmanship of the players, coaches and parents at the MYAS State Tournament last month. The umpires selected the teams. The boys enjoyed being on the field with Saints players and staff, and even got some autographs.

  • Traveling baseball tournament in Mankato....I love walking up to our players warming up, all the siblings playing together and families hanging out. The community around sports is fascinating . My boys having other male remodels in their lives is so special. My kids playing with other kids, the littles attaching themselves to the teenager sisters, conversations with the adults and playing in whatever space they are given makes my heart happy. Raising kids is so much different then I really ever thought and the importance of the little things is shaping them into the ppl God created them to be. #treasurethebonds #kidsadaptingisimportant #thisisthegoodlife #travelingbaseball #burnsvilletravelingbaseball #largefamilylife

  • 130 miles and 3 games in 24 hours, 4 boys on an adventure (who put up with the slow old lady in a boot with a cane-that's me), boys in rafters to boys in creeks with crawfish, minnows, frogs, and dragonflies, but most importantly 11 boys who played their hearts out! #whitebearbaseball #travelingbaseball #ineedavacation.

  • I’m a big believer that to play competitive baseball in high school it’s necessary to play competitive baseball before high school. This means parents have to step up and organize and coach before their kids are in high school. I’m forever grateful to the coaches that kept my class together playing competitive baseball in the summer all those years before we got into high school, and I truly believe that’s why our grade had as much success as we did. Here are pictures from Melissa Heidbrink Photography and Design of the current kids in the High School Dutchmen program playing youth baseball years ago. I am more than happy to help in any way I can to any parent in our community with youth baseball, so don’t hesitate to reach out to me! #baseball #baseballism #dutchmenbaseball #owensvillemo #buildingaprogram #culture #baseballculture #baseballtown #highschoolbaseball #youthbaseball #travelingbaseball #gcr2 #OwensvilleHighSchool

  • Tournament Day! Won the first game and now this guy is heading to the second where he will start pitching. Loaded him up on his favorite antiinflammatory to decrease the amount of pain his arm may feel later. Next up his favorite drink to give him since wonderful plant based energy to power through!
Last weekend he pitched 4 full innings and into the 5th! Coming from a kid that hasn't played ball in 3 years so we weren't sure he'd see playing time this year to pitching! He blows my mind every day!
Love his work ethic and attitude!! .

  • Saturdays: a day of the week currently reserved for traveling baseball - also to squeeze everything else in. Today we hit up the Riverhills Garage Sales in Burnsville. I’m talking every few houses, food stands, tons of ppl and wagons and carts everywhere. It is AWESOME. We speed shopped and got some great deals. Then off to baseball games, dance for Ila, 2 birthday parties and a few more random garage sales in between my driving. I scored some freshly picked moccasins for $2.50!!! We got home around 6pm and spent the evening outside roofing the chicken coop and having a fire with the chicks and our bunny. #largefamilyliving #travelingbaseball #chickencoopbuilding #runrunrun #welovethislife #atitagaintomorrow
