  • 💥 A resposta é SIM!

  • The women and men who serve in our Armed Forces should not have to work in an environment where harassment and sexual assault is widespread and victims face retribution for reporting their assaults. Service members deserve a system of justice worthy of the American principles they have dedicated their lives to protect.

The prevalence of rape, harassment, retaliation and misogyny in the military erode values of integrity and sacrifice, undermine good order and discipline and exacerbate existing inequalities for women, people of color and LGBTQ service members. Reforming this culture will strengthen our military, and promote unit cohesion and morale. #raw @themovieraw #mst #militarysexualtrauma #trauma #recovery #film #movie #veterans #military #impact #awareness #sheddinglight #protect #honor #respect #united

  • SENSOPERCEPCIÓN O LA PUERTA DE ACCESO AL CUERPO🌟 ¿Qué sientes cuando ves esta imágen? Date unos momentos.

  • What if the thing that took over in your scariest moments, the scary thing you became when your life was threatened back then wasn't a monster, wasn't some dark side of you.... What if it was your future self, coming back to give you a break, to give you a glimpse of what you'd eventually become?
It's not a monster. You don't need to be afraid. Your past abusers just feared the you that knew your worth. They are terrified of that. That doesn't mean you need to be. 💃: @aiunabali 📸: @thrtyn

Lanthier - Commander Canadian Army, Department of National Defence - Former - Major General & Commander, Canadian Army Doctrine & Training Centre

I would love to come and share my story and “The Building Blocks” with your organization, department or team. "Doug is passionate about sharing his story and Building Blocks for Mental Performance to help our military, special forces and first responders"

  • Between traumatic experiences possibly keeping someone's system in constant hyper or hypoarousal (which in plenty of cases lead us to not giving proper attention to our bodies), and the technology culture that has created conveniences that have lead us to sitting more, being less active, and putting our bodies in poor posture, we are becoming a more disembodied culture. When we dissociate from our bodies (most likely for safety in some instances) and don't take care of a body that is MEANT to move, health is obviously affected.

While not moving a body has its own problems, from a mental and emotional health standpoint, not allowing bodily sensations to be paid attention to can have other bad effects. We may shut off the ability to trust our intuition or "gut feeling" when the time is right. One of my favorite psychosomatic experts Pat Ogden talks about how shutting down our bodily sensations can also prevent us from moving through difficult thoughts and emotions. In her therapy, she uses sensorimotor sequencing to have clients follow sensations of the body when they get dysregulated. Pat says that "when we get in patterns - whether traumatic or attachment related patterns - it feels like it [tough emotions or thoughts] won't change...(but)...the body is a living organismic system - it's going to change every moment and if we can stay with the" body sensation, we can learn to sit with instead of push away uncomfortable feelings that most likely need dealing with. Dissociating and pushing away will only stuff more junk down into a body that may retaliate through physical pains, addictions, chronic disease, depression, anxiety, etc.

Be nice to your mind and body. They'll thank you in multiple ways ✌️❤️🙂 •

  • I Am In A Vortex Of Energy This Week.
💫⭐️🌟✨⚡️🌈💫⚡️⚡️🌟⭐️✨
It’s as though I’ve opened old channels, so unused within my heart and body, it’s painful in a really delicious way! Like, the sweetest little pain that’s an indication you’ve got hit.
.
.
.
How often do we experience true bliss? That moment of allowing and surrender ... some are fortunate enough to feel this in their daily prayers and meditations. Others, go a lifetime of being closed up, unable to let that Love into their sacred heart. .
.
.
I’m allowing Love, Understanding, Friendship, Kindness, Compassion, Health, Happy and Powerful to all Flow Into My Being 🌹✨🥰♥️🌈🦋🌟
.
.
.
What matters to you? Who Are You? Is it the small things or a ginormous vision of a new you, in a new setup/getup, impacting lives so deep, you’re exploding with Joy? .
.
.
Sometimes, it’s what we are the most afraid of allowing that makes us who we are! It’s the thing we run away from that sheds Light on our Shadows.
.
.
.
Tell me, what are you refusing to allow? And, I’ll tell you how to let it go! .
.

  • I think society gets it confused sometimes, which makes us get it confused. I'm moving farther and farther away from the narrative of "be tough, hustle harder, always work on improving, be positive and keep your feelings to yourself" and farther towards the narrative of "embrace all your parts, be present, practice self-acceptance, feel all your feelings, and get vulnerable."
•
What comes up for you when you read this? What message have you been taught was "cool" that might actually be pulling you away from yourself? Happy Friday, sweet friends. ✌🏻

  • The next few days (!!!) sorry Guys too lazy to record it again!
A person who researches his family history can get some surprising insights. It is helpful to find the answers to the following questions (in regards to the family of origin): How did the parents get to know each other?
How old were they at the time?
How old were they when they got married?
If they didn’t get married or they later separated or got divorced, what was the reason?
Did the mother have important past loves, fiancés or husbands?
Did the father have important past loves, fiancés or wives?
How many siblings do you have (including half-brothers or sisters)? How many siblings does your mother have?
How many siblings does your father have?

  • Who's guilty? 🙋‍♀️ Consistently talking down to yourself is so damaging. After talking about this at therapy today, I've realised how much I do this, day in day out. Would I talk to my friends and family the way I talk to myself? Hell no! So why do I deserve that? Answer is, I don't, but it's a bad habit that I've developed and continued since being a child. Comparing yourself to others, blaming yourself for things out of your control is self bullying & can contribute to depression/anxiety. We are all unique and we are all special in our own way. We are hard on ourselves for so many things and frankly we don't deserve it. Whatever you have been through isn't your fault and it doesn't mean you should punish yourself; cause essentially that's what you're doing. Anyone who can relate, if you catch yourself talking yourself down, call yourself out, be kind to yourself, talk yourself UP. We gotta learn to love ourselves ❤

  • I think it’s important for counselors to continuously reflect on themselves and their practice. None of us is immune from being human. We make mistakes, we have our own problems, we can struggle to decide, and we can experience mental health symptoms ourselves. A counselor who doesn’t reflect on practice and the self risks becoming stagnant, repeating mistakes, and even projecting personal issues on to clients. I’m not only a counselor, but also a counselor educator.
