No more Netflix & TV has been a big transformation in my life. I cancelled my Netflix & Hulu this year. And I do not own a TV right now. So, naturally I have been reading a lot more which has been wonderful & has spark a lot of joy in my life. I love this adorable reading nook in my cabin.

- Heute ist zwar kein #transformationtuesday , aber mein 1. Jähriges #yazio Jubiläum 🥳
Heute vor einem Jahr machte es "Klick". Seitdem hat sich so viel verändert, aber alles zum positiven.
Sport macht endlich wieder Spaß, #gesundeernährung ist essentiell wichtig und ich fühle mich langsam wieder wohl.
Aus Motivation wurde Ehrgeiz und Routine. Das alles ist der Weg schon wert. Der Weg ist das Ziel und mein Ziel ist langsam in Sichtweite, jedoch ziehen die letzten Kilos sich wie Kaugummi und jedes Kilo verlangt eine Menge Schweiß, Disziplin und Willen, aber das ist okay. - #transformationtuesday is a little late 🙈🙈 Also I've been living it up in Sri Lanka then was straight back to the grind of work. Just living day by day and not letting food take over my life.
I do have a meeting with my surgeon in August so will need to hit it hard before hand because my weight has not moved. Am I bothered? Not so much. I'm thr happiest I've ever been so swings and roundabouts!

Seems like when I give myself only 30 min to train I get a more intense workout

- So I gave up alcohol for lent. I don’t usually give up anything for lent. And I’m not even a big drinker. But sometimes at work functions I can find myself having a glass or two (sometimes more with the unnoticed refills) even when I didn’t intend to have any booze at all. So I decided lent provided an easy excuse to stop for a while without the social pressure from people saying ‘Oh go on, just have one’. Plus I’m trying to shift some weight and be more mindful of my food consumption and this seemed a good way to start changing things without going ‘all or nothing’ overnight. I didn’t even have a snifter on Sundays.
The truth is I haven’t really missed alcohol. So I’m going to try a second lent. And this time I’m adding in no sugar. For 40 days (and nights). It’ll mean no champagne or cake on my birthday (🤪🤪🤪) but I’m thinking that the best present I can give myself is a healthier approach to food. Less emotional eating, more mindful consumption (in all things actually). And just by the way, should we bring back the soda syphon? So stylish. And less waste?

- Barbell Bench Press
A compound exercise which is great for developing your chest
Setup: Bar at eye level, shoulder blades pinned back together and hands positioned evenly inside the shoulder
Execution: lift the bar of the rack and align with the middle of your chest, brace your core and lower the bar towards the bottom of your chest (sternum), pause for one second and press
Added tip: for extra tension applied to the chest, push your hands inwards like you are trying to crush the bar with your hands. Keep this tension through the lower, pause and press of the movement
