I’ve been a huge fan of Kadowaki for the last 17 years and have paid a visit virtually every month. I think the gap between his standard versus special courses is huge (as is the price differential) and there are as many haters as there are fans but I continue to believe that Chef Kadowaki is the best in Japan. Many restaurants can try and mimic him but Kadowaki is truly one and only.

This one’s a latergram from January - photos are before I changed phones. (FYI this was a mini A course as some of the guys were first timers and weren’t necessarily huge eaters)

最後の晩餐はどこで、と聞かれたら、必ず「かどわき」でAコースと即答。この17年間、答えは変わっていない。毎月、安定的に極上の美味しさだ。生涯で一番通ってるお店かもしれない。
