  • This week was jam packed with opportunity for 2020. Elements is excited about new relationships, projects and programs on the horizon.
We spent time with a community leader of La Cienaga, a Dominican community near the river of Ozuma faces overpopulation and hardships with resource access for community members. We are looking forward to incorporating medical initiatives and health focused projects.
Our strength in the Dominican Republic is fueled by the network of community contacts and professionals striving to achieve more equity and social justice in the Caribbean. Marie, Alejandro and Loubens had the opportunity to speak with representatives from IDDI, a development Organization based in the capital and La Federación Lucha Contra la Droga, an Organization fighting drug abuse and addiction in the Dominican. They also spoke with women from Bidica, a family business supporting small businesses in the area.
You cannot leave the capital before visiting the beautiful historic district and Zona Colonial that houses the memorials of the founding fathers and beautiful architecture that people from all over come to see.
We are excited to continue the adventure and look forward to the meaningful experiences our programs will bring this year.

  • When students study a passage in a book about New York, they SEE a sliver of what this amazing city looks like. When they VISIT New York, they learn what is to the left and to the right of a landmark. They know the smells, the people, the dimension, and the indescribable energy. Travel takes a textbook and turns it into a living lesson. Visit NYC with your class...and bring color to their world.

  • “We cannot protect something that we do not love, we cannot love what we do not know, and we cannot know what we do not see. Or hear. Or sense.” This quote by author Richard Louv beautifully illustrates the core values of #educationaltravel in the lives of young people. Each of you, as #educators or mentors to a younger generation, have had an experience in your personal history which inspires you to do what you do. Take a moment to think back to what that impactful experience was... it wasn’t just a great lecture, or a fantastic worksheet, or a great score on a test, it was something that you saw or did – something that you experienced with your senses that lit a fire inside of you. Do you remember what it was?

  • Turistando? Naquele momento comecei a me interessar pelo sistema jurídico, cultura e idioma desse país. #milano #brasileirospelomundo #students #studenttravel #giurisprudenza #università #direitodotrabalho #acidentesdetrabalho #imparareitaliano #italy #italia #aprenderitaliano #turismoitalia

  • Got dag!🙋🏻‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️
W Norwegii obowiązuje prawo do swobodnego korzystania z natury.
Przed wyjazdem warto dołączyć do Facebook'owej grupy typu "Polacy w Tromso".

  • im so excited to finally announce this - IM MOVING TO NEW YORK BABY!!! 🙌🥳🚕After deciding to take a gap year before going to Uni, I’ve been contemplating what to do during it to 1) save up money 2) travel✈️ 3) gain experiences 4) grow and discover myself ( cliche I know but its true 🙈) So I’ve decided to be an au pair in USA! 🇺🇸Not gonna lie, its been a long and hard process making an application for the program and going through the process of choosing and matching with the perfect family but last week I finally found them hehe! 🙌So this girl is moving to NY in August and ill be spending a year out there exploring NY state and of course NYC. I CANNOT tell you how excited and grateful I am to be able to have this opportunity and you best believe ill be trying all the amazing New York vegan foods and resturants. And after the year is up, I will have one month grace period where ill be travelling all over the states. Don’t worry, I’ll still be running my account and I hope you guys will stick around and join me on this crazy journey to the big 🍎 Its gonna be difficult moving from my home country and ill miss my family and friends (especially my dog 😭) but who knows what will happen and I can't wait to embark on this adventure ❤️❤️

  • / Helloo 2020✨

Been away and inactive around here for most part of December. That was a roller coaster month! But never too late to wish you all a very very HAPPY NEW YEAR 🥳 May it be our decade to shine, prosper and soar above all struggles. Be kind!

Also wanted to say THANK YOU for all the lovely birthday wishes, sending you big big virtual hugs 🧁 Of course I spent it in the mountains, traveling and trekking, this time with connectivity and network 😛 and answered all calls & messages 😂

P.S : Watch my first IGTV to see a fun YouTube challenge I did enroute Lonavala ⛰

  • Welcome back to school! Winter break is officially over and now we’re in the midst of starting our spring courses.

How can you prepare for the semester to crush your classes? Here are my tips to starting the year successfully.

1️⃣ Read the syllabus. Make a note of what the expectations are for the course, how grades are broken down, and how to contact your professors.

2️⃣ Add all exam dates & class times to your calendar/planner. This’ll help you stay on top of deadlines and plan your time outside of class as well!

3️⃣ Checklists. I’ve been using this method for years now and I still stand behind it. Before classes start each semester, I plop down and make a checklist of all the assignments/material we are going to learn. Then I make columns for each study task I will have to do— for example: watch lecture video, make anki cards, read the notes/textbook, and review. Swipe to see an example!

4️⃣ Don’t fall behind. Something you’ve always heard but never quite achieve? Well, make it a reality this semester! Before class, prep for the material ahead of time by reading the notes/textbook. After class consolidate your notes. Set a deadline for when you want your first review, second review, and third review of the material completed by.

5️⃣ Reach out for help early. Remember when you read the syllabus & made a note of how to contact your professors? Take advantage of their office hours from the very first week. Make a list of questions you have as you’re studying. Review the material with classmates as well. They can help answer questions and you can quiz each other as well!

Begin building a relationship with your professor and classmates early, forming an academic support network.
