- We finished with some tasty negative reps this morning at BOSS-Fit 😬🔥💪🏻 What are negative reps though? Well, using the incline bench as an example, when performing the final set to fatigue through the concentric phase (pressing up), there’s still a little left in the tank through the eccentric/negative (downwards phase). I’m sure @d_das21 hit 6 reps here on his final set but instead of racking the bar, he then hit 3 negatives with Steve pulling the bar up. It’s a great way to completely fatigue any muscle group but be warned, it doesn’t tickle 😉😫 You’ll be really tearing the fibres here so it does apply a lot of stress, which means I would only recommend you use negative reps every other week and most certainly not on every exercise! - I HIT MY DEADLIFT 1RM TARGET (180kg) 🎯
I weigh 90kg and have always wanted to be able to lift double my bodyweight since I started lifting in March. There's nothing more rewarding and motivating than seeing progress in your work 💪🏾🙌🏾.
Next month's 1RM target is 200kg 🤔
Tip: Once you have achieved something set another target which is tougher immediately. Always strive to improve and beat the YOU of yesterday, never get complacent.

If you are - it is important to know what is it that needs to CHANGE in your current lifestyle so that you can build & maintain the body of your dreams.
If you currently don't look (purely aesthetically) the way you want to - it means what you are currently doing in your day-to-day life is not good enough. Something needs to be added or removed - and simply being *aware* that something needs to change means you have won half the battle.
Workout 5-6 times a week, monitor what you eat - you don't need to start counting calories, but you definitely need to "check in" on yourself. Are you binge-eating some foods over another ? Are you a lazy gym-goer & slacker at workouts ? Are you consuming alcohol more frequently than you can count ? What made you give up your journey last time ? How 'active' are you ? How much of your current #lifestyle are you willing to transform ?
It takes a lot more than a workout or nutrition plan to bring about a #transformation .. Are you willing to do what it takes to transform ? How strong is that will ?

- Hi, it’s me again. Feeling really wordy today and want/need to express it. I am constantly reminding myself and my community that depression is a flaw in chemistry, not character. Check in with your strong friend tonight. Your friend with his/her sh*t together, with a smile on his/her face. You never really know what someone is going through on the inside. Putting things into extra perspective today. Feeling extra grateful for family and friends today. Appreciating and loving the mental health community today- especially the people who have reminded me to not shame myself for feeling bad. Remembering it’s okay to not always be okay. #mentalhealthawareness
