  • THIS JUST IN: Broncos CB Chris Harris Jr. has requested a new contract or trade, per Adam Schefter.
Broncos GM John Elway said earlier today that he will address Harris’ contract situation after the NFL Draft, but did not guarantee that a deal would get done.
Harris, 29, has been away from offseason workouts as he angles for a contract extension, and it appears he’s given the Broncos an ultimatum as he looks for long-term security.
Harris is looking for a contract worth $15M per year, according to Mike Klis.
Harris is in the final year of his 5-year/$42.5M contract and stands to make a base salary of $7.8M for the 2019 season. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free-agent in March of 2020.

The Broncos would save $7.9M in cap space by trading Harris, while taking on $866K in dead money.
Denver currently has $11.977M in cap space, per OverTheCap.com.
Harris started 12 games for the Broncos last season and recorded 49 total tackles, three interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, 10 pass defenses, and one sack. He suffered a broken fibula in Week 14 and missed the next two games before being placed on injured reserve on December 19th.

  • Jay Nixon is a speaker, mentor, coach, owner of his own Thrive Fitness Studio in Palm Desert, California, and author of The Overweight Mind. For over two decades, he has helped thousands of people achieve total body transformation β€” through fitness, nutrition and personal development coaching.

On this episode, Jay dives into mindset and momentum. He explains what momentum stacking is and how the most successful people, athletes and teams use it to build on little wins to achieve great things. He also relates momentum (and negative momentum) to mindset, and shares more about why mindset is so powerful.

Even if you have the perfect program, location, facility, nutrition, etc., if your mindset is not where it needs to be, you will always fall short. As a coach, it is up to you to bring that mindset as you approach each situation. Jay and Ned discuss why mindset is such a key factor in success, not just in sports but also in life, and why visualizing your goals can help them come true. Jay also shares some strategies for coaches to improve their athletes’ mindsets, and how to help them surpass their potential by giving them the right tools, education and support. Tune in to find out more.
