  • Here are 4 general outline to follow to keep your muscles and to adjust your nutrition intake during this time.

Well, for everybody this is a difficult situation. Gym’s are closed, some are even refused to go outside.
.
Lot’s of you are having problems keep bulking and keep gaining muscles.
.
So how should your nutrition look like during this period of time to achieve your goals ?
.
1. Number one goal during this period is to be healthy. You should take vitamin D supplements if you don’t get enough sun light. Moreover you definitely shouldn't have a too big calorie deficit. During such a difficult period I would suggest you to have a lighter calorie deficit: 100-200 kcal. Otherwise your immune system cannot perform as it usually does.
.
2. Protein intake: During this time you should definitely have a protein intake of 2g of protein per kg of bodyweight. It doesn’t matter whether you bulk, cut or just maintain your weight. This optimal protein intake will help your body to keep your muscles although you do little to no strength training. If you drop your protein intake your body will take the proteins out of your muscles which he needs to survive. As a consequence you will lose muscles.

3. Adjust your carb intake on your activity level: The more your train the more carbs you should eat, so you glycogen stores are full and you have the energy to perform during the training sessions.
.
4. Your Fat intake should be at least 0.9g of fat per kg of bodyweight per day. Fat is essential to live. First you have to make sure that you eat enough fat and proteins since your body can’t live without them. Having done this you can go to the carbs.
.

  • You can train as much as you want. If you don’t have the right technique you will never reach your full potential.

Having a solid sprinting technique will have a massive impact on your sprinting speed.
.
This ensures that you sprint as efficient as possible -> you will get faster.
.
That’s why you have to pay a closer attention to these things:
.
1. Arm swing: Bend your elbows at 90 degrees. Your hands should travel from “hip to lip” and keep your arms close to your sides. Don’t swing your arms to the side otherwise you will lose force which should be put in front. Swing your arms in front of your body.
When you accelerate you should move your back hand really high in order to .
2. make your full back chain straight. (Legs, head, back, foot): If you do this you will have the best optimal force output to the front. You can improve this by recording yourself sprinting.
.
3. Proper knee drive: With each stride, lift your front knee high (“knee drive”) and straighten your back leg completely to deliver full power. You can improve your knee drive by using some resistance band like I do.
.
4. Fast ground contact with the top of your feet: Try to have a fast ground contact whilst producing as much force as you can during this contact. You can improve this fast force-output by doing plyometric exercises. (Jumps..).
.
These are the most important things you have to pay attention to when it comes to improving your sprinting technique.
.
Just grab your smartphone and film yourself running. After you can improve your sprinting form.
.

  • The further you can jump, the better your jump the faster you can sprint.

Why?
.
Jump training correlates directly with sprint/acceleration speed. When doing jump training you stimulate the fast twitch fibers in your muscles. This are the exact type of fibers which you need to sprint faster. This is why jump training is so effective when it comes to improve your sprint speed
.
Do these exercises every now and then. But make sure that your muscles are 100% recovered from your latest sport activity. Otherwise this jump training won’t be effective.

  • #ad The boys and I set up an obstacle course in the front yard this morning. The aim was to get them active with a bit of a soccer theme since their local Saturday soccer was canceled this week. 
I grabbed everything from @bigwaustralia and put it together with the boys suggestions, then we timed their laps. So fun!

This is a full Day of eating of Ronaldos current diet. Overall he eats lots of lean Protein

Why ? Probably because of his strengthtraining. He needsmore proteins than other pro’s to maintain 
his physique, especially his muscles.
.
The only thing which is missing on this diet plan are the carbs. Due to the frequent training Ronaldo has to Consume 300-500g per Day, depending on the intensity.
.
Those who actively follow him on Instagram know that he is a fan of white bread (baguette). Most of you think white bread isn’t a good source of carbs because they aren't’t complex carbs. This is also true. However, if you eat fast carbs like white bread after a workout your Insulin level increases-> your body can store all the kcal which he gets after the workout directly in the muscles to recover them. This is the only timing when i suggest to eat simple carbs.

  • What a weekend! So on Friday we travelled 4-1/2 hours to Brisbane for my sons soccer carnival only to have literally just arrived to be told the event was cancelled due to the Corona Virus! 
Poor Corey was SHATTERED! He lives for soccer and has been waiting for this weekend for so long... Hubby was disappointed as it was a waste of time and money - we lost our accommodation, a day off from work and the fuel and preparation to get there! It was a long trip home with two upset passengers 😩 ... not all doom and gloom my sister and her family were visiting this weekend so we got to spend the entire weekend with them. I got to see my nieces and nephew - it was truely amazing! .

  • What a weekend! So on Friday we travelled 4-1/2 hours to Brisbane for my sons soccer carnival only to have literally just arrived to be told the event was cancelled due to the Corona Virus!
    Poor Corey was SHATTERED! He lives for soccer and has been waiting for this weekend for so long... Hubby was disappointed as it was a waste of time and money - we lost our accommodation, a day off from work and the fuel and preparation to get there! It was a long trip home with two upset passengers 😩 ... not all doom and gloom my sister and her family were visiting this weekend so we got to spend the entire weekend with them. I got to see my nieces and nephew - it was truely amazing! .
