A few tips we recommend for a healthy mindset:

1.  Everyday, take at least 20 mins to unplug.  Put your phone down, step away from the computer/ tablet and TV. 🔌

2. Spend more time with nature.  Go for a walk, do some gardening, find a good hiking trail. 🌿🌻 3. Focus on things you want vs things you don’t.  For example, instead of saying “I don’t want to be weak”, try saying “I want to be strong”. 💪

4.  Celebrate small victories.  When you workout- be proud!! When you make healthier food choices- good for you! Catch yourself in negative self-talk and correct it- way to go!! 5.  Everyday, stand in a mirror and tell yourself something you 💗 about yourself.   • Well... I had surgery! Despite following every prevention factor and none of the risks, somehow my gall bladder decided to bail. I wasn't able to eat for 2 days before the surgery and hardly could eat afterwards. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I lost about 10lbs, mostly being muscle. Fortunately I only had to stay out of the gym for about 3 weeks. I had no idea how cranky I could get without being able to take anger out on a barbell. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Since I'll rebound quickly, I'm taking the opportunity to recomp. My body is gonna rebuild muscle quickly, so hopefully I'll be able to cut some fat in the process. ITS GAINZ O'CLOCK BOIIII

  • And that rounds out the week! My aim for this week was to get down into the 1800’s which was going to mean an aim of over 40km for the week. Super happy to have actually achieved it! Let’s see if I can crack the 45km for next week and try to make ground on the 20ish km I’m behind in the overall 2020 goal! Some days I think this is a little harder than the 365 day challenge! Going from doing maybe 10km a week running/walking in the last 3months of last year to attempting to aim for 40km a week (give or take) for a year in order to reach 2020km.... you never really know what your capable of until you have a go! Just like last year- I’m 100% committed to seeing this through to completion as well!!

  • ✨TRANSFORMATION TIME *STILL IN PROGRESS*✨⠀⠀ 49KG-67KG⠀⠀
⠀⠀
Not so long ago I was very sick and was admitted to hospital as my whole body was basically shutting down and taking my healthy self away.⠀⠀
I dropped to a horrifying weight of 49KGs and that time period is when my entire life changed and turned upside down.⠀⠀
I was in a hole, my mental state was insane, I couldn’t even bear looking at myself in the mirror, I had an eating problem, I was in and out with hospitals constantly, family, friends and partner issues, I had to pull out of year 12 a quarter through because of it all (even though I smashed out academic awards end of year 11) felt like my life wasn’t worth it anymore; I didn’t know who I was. 😶⠀⠀
•⠀⠀
Today after all the insane struggles, pain and trauma, I am still standing and have pushed through so many tough yards to get to where I am today.⠀⠀
Still to this day I have pain issues, but no where near close to how I was affected back then.⠀⠀
I was very lucky to have a few by my side for support, getting me through it all and finding myself again. 💝⠀⠀

As of now I’m currently sitting at 67KGs and have made incredible progress with myself and have definitely found myself again, the better me!⠀⠀
It’s taken a while to get where I am, but believe me slow progress is better then no progress. 💪🏼⠀⠀

To those who have struggled or are still struggling out there, please keep your heads held high and push those negative thoughts and bad days away as there is always a light at the end of the tunnel.⠀⠀
Believe in yourself, gain back your confidence and be persistent and you’ll see results. 🙏🏼💫⠀⠀
