THIS!! 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻😍 — Who can relate to Krysten?? :

A year and a half ago I had NO idea how unhealthy my body and gut truly was. I was always tired —literally would have my husband pry me out of bed, bloated — nothing fit + I felt uncomfortable, cranky + on edge — hormonal imbalance is a thing, zero energy — drank 7-8 sodas a day, ate loads of sugar + never experienced a burst of energy, and I had a bag full of prescription medications I was a literal slave to. You know what changed? One day I finally looked at myself in the mirror and didn’t see the “Krysten” that every one loved + to be honest, I didn’t love the person that was staring back. 😢 Something had to change + what I was currently doing was not going to cut it.
I remember the day I brought the products up to my hubby... I asked him to bring me home a large soda + a DQ blizzard like it was what I NEEDed to help me get through the rest of the day and as I downed both treats I told him about these “supplements” my friend had been talking about + constantly recommending. He without question said “YES! Do it!” I mean it was a 60 day money back guarantee so when it didn’t work, we would get our money back. Easy peasy. Y’all, let me tell you. I did NOT get my money back after 60 days ... but guess what I did get back? MY LIFE + MY HEALTH. Learning to address root issues like gut health, inflammation and blood sugar balance has given me true health. My body no longer fights against me and I can now live a full, vibrant life because I’m not feeling like crap. ❤️❤️❤️

  • The Pain (pt. 1) Here’s the beginning of my Endo story. My first physical symptoms that I can trace, go back to 7 years ago. I was in a #yoga class in #richmondva and suddenly I got an unbelievable migraine. I Was rushed home to my friends place where I spent the next several hours with a “poltergeist” that had taken over my human form. Two years ago things got even worse, but I could still manage, so I kept trucking. High threshold for pain over here 👋🏻
.

But things turned into an absolute nightmare in 2019, in fact I spent nearly all of the year trying to save my life. I felt like the walking dead for most of it. It got to a point that there were weeks where I could not eat. And when I could I only could stomach blueberries. Along with not being able to digest food, I suffered with more migraines, depression, SIBO, anxiety, delusions, fluctuating hormones, suicidal ideation, indescribable painful/long /irregular periods, chronic fatigue, an inability to mentally process even basic things, brain fog and crazy ass mood swings. All while living in my van & attending massage school 💪🏼 Oh & I looked great through a lot of this process, thank you #endometriosis for that #butyoudontlooksick Glo 💃🏻
.
Finally this year, I was correctly diagnosed with Endometriosis. The conventional medical community was a total FAIL for me in so many ways. Offering questionable “cures” such as Birth Control & Mirena IUD and Hysterectomies. Some other practices Conventional Medicine implements for endometriosis should be called into question if not banned is #ablation surgery by unqualified general gyns & #luproninjections . Thank Gawd for IG accounts like @heal.endo and @chelseaaabri .
Stay tuned later this week for Part 2: The Raising!

  • I’ve never been a stranger to criticism, fear, routine and health struggles. It’s a natural part of life for most. But I once feared what people would think about me and my business. That fear ALMOST kept me from this business, until I realized that opinions will never pay the bills or give me the freedom I desired. Within months, my health was changed in drastic ways, I knew I had a gift dropped right in front of me. I decided right then that I would never let fear keep me from something I KNEW would bless my family and THOUSANDS of people around me. My friends — the future is in social marketing. 80% of women who make six figures do so with this industry. And because I was willing to send fear packing, I’m on my way to earning that sweet income too. Any other mamas feel me on that?! 🙋🏼‍♀️

  • #transformationtuesday December 2013... I will never forget how terrible I felt. How lost. How sick...In and out of the doctors office. I was tired. I was sad. I hated the way I looked and I hated the way I felt.
For months I checked out posts by a woman who would later become my coach. She was working out at home, drinking a superfood shake, and holding online accountability groups...but most of all she looked so happy and felt amazing and I wanted that bad!
But for months I made excuses. No time, I can’t do a workout like this, I can’t afford these workouts. I had all the excuses.
That December I looked at all the money I had spent to make everyone else happy for the holidays...
BUT THERE WAS ONE PERSON I DIDN’T TAKE CARE OF...myself.
That was what I always have done. Put everyone first. This had to change because I could not go on feeling like this. So I used the Holiday money I received to buy my first program and one month of my superfood shake because I knew this had to be done. (It is such a better deal now because you get EVERY workout!!) Don’t go another Holiday Season neglecting yourself. I can’t imagine how things would be if I hadn’t said yes! My next group starts Monday!
Plus an early Black Friday sale! message me ASAP! #weightlossprogram #christmas #holidayseason #holidayparties #chanukah #overeating #healthylifestyles #mindfuleating #loseweight #weightlossjourney #autoimmunedisease #newyearsresolution #mom #momlife #sickandtired

  • 👉🏻⚠️Do you have a genetic predisposition to obesity?⚠️👈🏻⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Then you need to memorize and plaster this quote on your bathroom mirror, computer screen, in your car - WHERE EVER you need to see it until its truth sinks in: “YOUR GENETICS LOAD THE GUN, BUT YOUR LIFESTYLE PULLS THE TRIGGER.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just because your genetics say one thing, doesn’t mean it has to be so! Now, you may have to work a little bit harder than someone else and you may not have a margin for error where you can eat the birthday cake, but you don’t have to believe that your destined to be overweight or obese and there is nothing you can do to change that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Often, you may see whole families who are overweight, it may have NOTHING to do with their genetic makeup and EVERYTHING to do with their LIFESTYLE HABITS. They are not destined to stay that way and you are not destined to be that way. Again, you may just have to work a little bit harder. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The things that keep the obesity genes switched “OFF” are things like:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Reducing sugar as much as possible (my rule of thumb: if sugar is listed in the first 3 ingredients, don’t eat it.)⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Knowing what your food intolerances are and not eating those foods (bc it leads to inflammation and more).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Making sure you are getting in good exercise like H.I.I.T. training as well as resistance training.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Get good sleep.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-Manage your stress.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
-An do all you can to have good, healthy gut microbiome!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Remember, the choices you make are in your hands. If you are overweight, which one of the above are you going to take action on TODAY? 👇🏻Tell me below so I can help hold you accountable! 🙌🏻

Show of hands? 🙋🙋‍♂️ This is EXACTLY why Chaga is always in our back pocket, glove compartment, coffee bar, purse, suitcase, latte, you name it.
Chaga, the King of Mushrooms, and a Finnish fave helps support your immune system. Which, right now, we all need. It tastes a bit like coffee (Finns used it as a coffee substitute during WWII. And since we consume the most coffee per capita, that’s quite the compliment). You can add your milk of choice, or a touch of honey or maple syrup and sip away!

.
1️⃣ He is very sick and can't go to work.
.
2️⃣ he is feeling sick after eating a whole bag of sweets.
.
3️⃣ He is sick of his work.
Ele está cansado do trabalho dele.
.
I'm sick and tired of living here.
Estou de saco cheio de viver aqui.
.
Your new car is sick!
Seu carro novo é maravilhoso/da hora!

  • *NEW POST* on the blog (link in bio) at www.chronicmotivation.com. ******** This was a really hard post to write. I have alluded to having issues in the workplace for a while now, but after committing to my career for the last thirteen years with a terribly debilitating illness, I would be insane to not talk about how frequently have been discriminated against in that time. I have never once received a promotion, and any time I have gotten a raise or moved into a higher role, it's been because I had to leave the employer I was working for to get hired by another company. I have never been written up, I've always had exceptional performance evaluations, and yet, someone else is always a "better fit." I am master's degree educated and I'm more experienced in my profession than I know what to do with sometimes. Except of course when there's a project that nobody wants to do or better yet, one that no one else can figure out. Basically, I'm sick of being "sick" in the workplace. Have any of you or anyone you know been through a similar experience? Let's talk about it in the comments below. It's time for a change. xoB 🖤 #discrimination #chronicallyill #sickandtired #nyc #nycwriter

  • It’s that time of year when you fear catching that circulating cold virus or any virus. 🍲

I just made this tasty mushroom soup from The Undiet Cookbook by Meghan Telpner. 🍲
Mushrooms have medicinal properties that help to modulate your immune system during times of stress. They are so good for you! 🍲
I adapted her recipe and added cremini and enoki mushrooms with carrots, onions, coconut milk, water, tamari, and turmeric. 🍲
So start now to build yourself up and feel more energetic this busy November by trying out a mushroom soup.

Want to know more! Visit the link in my bio 😊

  • |THIS AIN’T NO DIET PAGE|
I love all of the healthy food, food bowls, beautiful and unique ingredients and recipes. I truly do! And I eat them myself.
But I noticed that there aren’t a lot of pages that are geared towards #lowhistamine eating for #familymeals 🤷🏻‍♀️
*
I have a young family. Kids are picky eaters. They have sensitive palates. So does my husband 😘We have multiple food allergies (mostly me) and I’m not interested in being a short order cook. Where is the food page for families like mine?
Couldn’t find it. So I made it!
*
I’m not a trained chef, but I’ve been making meals from scratch for close to 20 years now. Boast warning - I’m a pro at modifying recipes to make sure my family (and I) doesn’t miss out on yummy, not always healthy #familyfood 🍔
*
So, there must be others out there like us. We like #homecooked meals that remind us of what we ate growing up, as well as new flavors and still making sure our veggies are there. But we also need to have safe, low histamine meals. Sound like you?
*
My new page follows the SIGHI low histamine food list, using foods that score a 0-1.
Since us #masties are all different, you may need to modify as well. But it’s a great place for something different to be inspired by.
Just one more page to feed those of us with really limited food options.
*
So check it out!

So I made it!

one month later.
i’ve now made it two days after my death due date.
today has been another hard day.
today at school, i had to leave early because i was too shaky.
walking into the doctors, i fell.
my legs gave out.
just like my hope.
i’ve been in my bed for the last couple of hours waiting for school to be over.
i texted hayden telling him i was in the hospital.
but he leaves his phone in his car during school.
hopefully some teacher informed him what happened.
i know he easily worries and i don’t want to put that on him.
i took a nap and woke up to his text saying he was coming by.
i didn’t want him to see me like this.
i didn’t care about how i look or didn’t want him here because i don’t have makeup on like what some girls worry about.
i didn’t want him to see me this broken.
my whole body has been aching recently.
before this week, everything was just mentally ill.
now, i’m physically hurting.
doctor matthew came in. “hey kid,” he said to me sitting in the seat beside me.
“how are you?” he asked. “bad,” i said shortly. “yeah.” he said knowing i’ve felt this pain for the last few months. “what’s the point to this,” i said as tiny voice cracks give out. “like, is there a reason to this disease?” i asked as he also began to cry.
something i have surprisingly never seen him do. “is there a reason to why this world is so screwed up, and broken, and cruel? because if there is, now would be the best time to tell me.” i said to him as i only cried more. “julianna,” he said sadly. “um, i’m going to share something important with you. have you ever wondered why i specially work in this department?” i shook my head no.
he rubbed his eyes removing any left over tears. “back in 2002 my wife was diagnosed with the same disease. after two years fighting, she passed.” “she was and is the strongest person to ever live on this earth. she was always the stable one. without her being my rock, i fell.”
my heart sunk. “i couldn’t,” he began. “i couldn’t move on, and i didn’t want to. i didn’t care how weak i looked compared to her, i just couldn’t handle her being gone, i couldn’t handle the feeling without her.” he paused.
mic🥺😭

  • Prawie 6 tydzień w szpitalu, niektórzy nazwaliby to odpoczynkiem od świata. Tak tego nie nazwę. Kto z Was był długo w szpitalu, ten wie jakie to uczucie.

  • Do you sometimes feel like you are trapped in your body and your #thyroid problems rule your life? People with #autoimmune #hashimotos and #hypothyroidism are tired most of the time and have limited amounts of energy that affect how much they can do. Sleeping longer hours and taking a nap becomes a necessity and a part of getting through the day. • Having #thyroiddisease can affect your life in a profound way because it limits your abilities to live your life the way you want. You are just struggling through your day to get things done because l#hypothyroidism and #hashimotos rob you of energy and they do it in these 4 sneaky ways: ⠀⠀
1. Due to lack of thyroid #hormones you can have fatigue that cannot be cured with more sleep, taking things easy or slowing down.⠀⠀
2. By affecting the way how you metabolize and turn your food into energy⠀⠀
3. By putting all body's and immune system energy into fighting the disease and all other imbalances that it creates.⠀⠀
4. By changing the way how you replenish your energy with sleep, rest and relaxation. ⠀⠀
However, you can take specific steps to improve your #hypothyroid and #autoimmune symptoms and change things for the better! • Being diagnosed with a #chronicdisease is a huge life-changing experience. Treatment and medication may or may not help to ease your symptoms and delay disease progression. However, you should not give up if your treatment brings you only partial results and start to look for other options or complementary treatments.
Here’s how probiotics can help with #lupus and many other #autoimmune diseases: Potent live probiotics are generally beneficial gut bacteria that are vital for development and support of your #immunesystem. Particularly, they help to decrease flare ups frequency and extend the lupus remission length, improve T4 to T3 #thyroid #hormones conversion and help to eliminate the waste more efficiently when you suffer from constipation. As a result your energy and many other symptoms like depression, #brainfog and hair loss improve.
You can get more probiotics with your diet by consuming cultured and fermented foods such as yogurt with live cultures, kefir, acidophilus milk, miso, sauerkraut, and tempeh because they are naturally high in probiotics.⁣⠀
Another option is to take a high quality probiotic supplement.⁣⠀
I would like to let you know that right now everyone who would like to try and experience the benefits can get a FREE bottle of live potent probiotic (50 billion of good bacteria which is substantially more than in probiotic containing foods and has 6 probiotic strains) and a FREE container of high quality protein that provides 10-fold absorption. Both probiotic and protein are truly free, no strings attached, worldwide shipping. You can get it through my website https://lupusselfhelp.com/free or just click the link in my instagram profile description @lupusselfhelp <<<== click

  • When you live with #hypothyroidism and autoimmune #hashimotos you have to pay attention to how much you can and cannot do physically because overdoing it today can mean that whatever you planned for tomorrow is going to be canceled. Sounds familiar?
Here’re some tips:
1. Make sure that you are getting an optimal thyroid treatment and get checked for other common contributing factors to #fatigue such ad low adrenal function, #anemia and nutritional deficiencies.
2. Start paying more attention to your diet and lifestyle factors. Your #hypothyroid and #autoimmune symptoms are signals of how your diet and lifestyle are affecting the #thyroid in a negative way. They are like red flags that tell you to slow downd and pay more attention to your body's needs like a good night sleep, less stress, more relaxation and good quality food.
3. Try to pace yourself, don’t take on too many responsibilities and learn to say no to things and people who drain your energy. For many reasons people with hypothyroidism and #hashimotosdisease have particularly sensitive systems. This means that we tip over the edge more easily, especially when we overdo things.
4. Make space in your life for rest and relaxation. If you find yourself tired, out of energy and not able to move at all because you overdid things yesterday, don't force it and give yourself a rest. Pushing harder and harder is not a good idea because you can be pushing yourself over that edge and your symptoms can get even worse. Instead try to find a way to find a balance. Your thyroid will thank you!
