  • Guess what's for dinner tonight?? I'm not even sure what to call them. Lol!

Hey #ketocommunity! Can you help me name this dish?? Its my #keto perversion of #鲜竹卷 a popular #dimsum item thats somewhat #ketofriendly as is... but my husband's triglyceride levels need us to lean back on fried things like the bean curd skin used to make the classic dish.

I used diced #kohlrabi from my MiL's garden. Chopped #Auricularia #cloudear #blackfungus. Minced fresh #ginger and #scallions. Light soy sauce. Eggs and ground pork.

Mix mix mix... and wrapped in pre-steamed cabbage leaves.

It will be steamed for 40 minutes over medium heat.

I'll post the final product when we eat in 45 minutes 😘😘 Stay tuned!

This is by far one of my favorite recipes! A lot of you guys have been asking for ramen and Asian noodle dishes so this is my take on it. For veggies, I used baby bok choy and mushrooms. The broth consists of miso paste found at any local grocery store, veggie or chicken broth and scallions... it’s that easy!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with shirataki noodles, they are made of tofu and come in multiple forms like fettuccine, spaghetti and even macaroni. The brand that I used is called House Foods. They are gluten free and vegan so they are the perfect alternative to noodles and regular ramen!

I love them, but can't eat them 😭😭 When I started eating plant-based foods, despite mentally feeling vibrant and great, my body was super uncomfortable after almost every meal, so much so that I was hesitant to eat. Not fun 😫 Then I did a @pinnertest which told me that I was intolerant to onions, bananas, and potatoes which made so much sense because I would have banana in my smoothies in the morning and onions most of the time, and potatoes because I was trying to eat less grains. .

When I cook at home, it's easier now, because feeling like 💩 just isn't worth it. When I go out, I'm careful with what I order, but I know it's almost impossible to avoid onions (I also forget to ask), so I will sit and pick them all out... which is good in a way, because then I can't eat too fast, which I tend to do too! 😂🌿

  • Ready to have your mind blown? 🤔 You can triple the lifespan of green onions by storing them in a jar of water on your counter top. 🤯🤯🤯 The tops will keep growing and you can snip them off as needed! 🙌🏻 So cool, right? 💁🏼‍♀️ ⁣⠀
I just bought green onions last night and thought I would post this for my own accountability. I've known this trick for years but there is a SLIGHT possibility that I always forget to actually use it, and end up throwing out half my green onions. 😳Anybody else do that? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Please tell me I'm not alone! 🙏🏻😂⁣

Tomato binge season is upon us and Ina's Heirloom Tomatoes with Herbed Ricotta is my favorite dish thus far! 🍅Tomatoes seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper and olive oil are the perfect companion to the creamy ricotta loaded with chives, dill, and scallions. I am in heaven!!! I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but if I've taken one lesson from this project, it's that store-bought is NOT fine when it comes to ricotta (unless your store makes its own).
