  • Went and got a new toy today! I’m the new owner of a BMW X1. When I can to Los Angeles, I had less than 100 dollars in my bank account, no savings, no where to live, and no job. I am really proud of where I am now, and think it’s okay to spoil myself for all of my hard work the past few years. Hoping this new year is prosperous and wonderful for all. #bmwx1 #azusa #sangabrielmountains #santafereservoir

  • Ahhhhh I got to run in the forest today. Eight miles of bliss with only the sound of a gurgling stream and the occasional egret. #sangabrielmountains #running #mountains

  • Yes I’m holding a ModeloπŸ˜›
I wasn’t going to post this photo because it’s a bit cheeky (no pun intended) but figured that life’s too short to not say β€œfuck it” a few times.
So pardon my French but fuck it, here’s a picture of a gorgeous mountainous backdrop, sulfur-rich hot springs in winter, weird clumps of frozen hair (yes, frozen stiff), and a little back side.
Gotta love life.

  • Hiking back to the Big Horn Mine with a winter coat on the mountain side with @chvcon_. The graffiti here is getting pretty out of hand, as it has been for years. Trees on the way to the mine are also being tagged up. Maybe we should organize a day to remove the graffiti from the trees? (There is a safe way to scrub the paint off without hurting the trees.) Just a friendly reminder leave no trace in the outdoors. πŸ™

  • Exploring Glenn Canyon Falls. (New blog)
A waterfall in the dense canyons of the Angeles Forest, mossy from all the moisture in the local forest. We headed out eary afternoon to catch the seasonal falls located on the way to Cogswell Dam. After the first 6 mile hike or bike on a paved road, get off at Glenn Camp, and look behind the camp. Locate a canyon that has a running stream, hike up this stream for the last 1/2 miles to the falls. Thanks to @missyadventures for her website on this one. Hiked with: @dhavalilama Full write up on the bio link.

  • Snowy views to the Mueller Tunnel. While some of the snow melts in the lower elevations, the higher elevations still have plenty of it. It’s melting fast though. The hike/bike here started from the bottom of Red Box road, where Red Box Picnic Site is. Walked the road for two miles up to eaton saddle and another half mile to the tunnel. Super interesting in there after a rain/snow. Rode the bike down to the picnic area to avoid walking the two miles on a road.
