  • 515 x 2 and 33 days alcohol free. I’m proud AF of myself. It’s a small win. It was a really hard thing to break away from but the vision gets clearer. The crowds get smaller. The days become longer. The conversations become deeper. The pages in a book become knowledge in the brain. The ideas go from an idea to a business. You don’t let the wrong people in. You start seeing how f*cking inauthentic people in society have become when you have nothing numbing your system. It’s a better place to be and with the right people ♠️💯

  • I got near to my goal weight for bulking this week which is 53KG but got sick and managed to loose that 1kg within a week 😔 I constantly keep getting sick due to lack of sleep and not having time to eat/cook cause I’m a full time student who has exams every week. I’m doing THREE different bachelors while powerlifting and bodybuilding for “fun” and it’s exhausting me. I miss directing, painting, working and doing my shoots. It’s 1am right now and I’m wondering how it’s gonna be in 5 years time. I’m honestly proud of getting so far with little time and getting constant good grades but mentally I’ve been exhausted and not alright for a while. My physical self might be pretty good but my mental self isn’t and I wish I knew what to do about it. So Ive decided to cut my training from 2-3 hours to just 1 hour for a week and focus on “me” things. I won’t be able to direct and work in that minimal amount of time but I can definitely do my paintings:) anyway congrats for reading this far and hope everyone is happy mentally and physically. - Aliza X

  • I'll do a comp wrap up tomorrow (because rum and food are calling) but I just wanted to post this. We finally did it, held onto that last fucking deadlift and smoked that bench.... we'll forget about squat 😂 Number 1 94's and best male lifter of the day. Couldn't do it without @gmaclifter Even though I've been more remote then in person I'm still going to miss the ability to do a 1on1 when I wanted to.   • Posting these logs in a weekly or so format because like I said, offseason is boring to talk about.

Did SSB Squats for the first time, and I underestimated how different they would feel. Definitely see the appeal. Helps you work to maintain an upright position which is neat because I high bar squat. Gonna practice with it more.

Also going to experiment more with autoregulation-style programming. Deadlifts top set 179kg/394.6lb @ RPE 6.5, even though yes I did say 7 in the vid. Drop sets 4x8 156.5kg/345lb.

What this style helps with is handling load on days when weight feels too heavy, with a perfect example being my top set of squats the day after (bad idea). 157kg/346.1lb @ RPE 8 making me lower my intended drop sets and pause squat weights a tad. Liked how well it all went at the end, so we'll see what happens.

Doing some shoulders and other random stuff tomorrow, but probably won't record anything, so ending weekly log here.

  • For my entire powerlifting life, the bench press has been my worst lift, by far. It has gone up and down, but as all of my lifts regressed in 2019, my bench was in the dumps. On February 3, I barely got 4 reps with 265 lbs. Last night, I got 6 reps with it. That’s a step in the right direction. The older I get, the more I’m learning to be grateful for every bit of progress I’m blessed to make. 🙂🙏🏾

  • Bench continues to get easier and easier. The sleeves help obviously, I'm not gonna deny that. Fighting allergies and I was able to do the following:
375 for a double in bench.
515 for a double in deadlift (I'll post it tomorrow). The Bufficorn is back and ready. 3 weeks out!

  • Trying to get that touch my lord is it difficult we did 7 sets today working up to 192.5kg or 424lbs  this was 190kg or 418 it moved very fast just need to tweak the form a bit to get the touch ! I'm not worried @smartlifts is a bench God a few more session and we will get there this is only my second time going for a touch!

  • The plan was just a heavy single for DL but 405 warmup felt like paper so I just went to max deads today instead of next Friday.

Sumo DL: 440 (clip 2) -> 455 (clip 1) for a 19 lb PR. Tried 470 twice and someone superglued the weight to the ground while I wasn’t looking.
Closer Grip Bench: 3x7x195 which is a PR for this variation I think.
Acc: chest fly and lat pulldowns.

  • 170 Kg 4x4 auf entspannt ✅ Opener der LM 2019 in der „Deload“ Woche ist ok. Kniebeugen laufen aktuell extrem gut. Gründe dafür sehe ich zum einen in der Technik Optimierung durch Coach @liftyouup_power dabei war die richtig tiefe Ablage ein Game Changer. Außerdem hilft der Volumen Tod vermutlich auch ein bischen. Der wahrscheinlich wichtigste Grund ist aber die Mentalität dem Lift gegenüber. Wo ich letztes Jahr noch regelmäßig Angst vor schweren Gewichten hatte, schaffe ich es mittlerweile mit einer deutlich selbstbewussteren Haltung ran zu gehen.   • 170 Kg 4x4 auf entspannt ✅ Opener der LM 2019 in der „Deload“ Woche ist ok. Kniebeugen laufen aktuell extrem gut. Gründe dafür sehe ich zum einen in der Technik Optimierung durch Coach @liftyouup_power dabei war die richtig tiefe Ablage ein Game Changer. Außerdem hilft der Volumen Tod vermutlich auch ein bischen. Der wahrscheinlich wichtigste Grund ist aber die Mentalität dem Lift gegenüber. Wo ich letztes Jahr noch regelmäßig Angst vor schweren Gewichten hatte, schaffe ich es mittlerweile mit einer deutlich selbstbewussteren Haltung ran zu gehen. Ebenso habe ich mich von der Erwartungshaltung getrennt, dass sich bestimmte Gewichte „leicht“ anfühlen müssen.
