Here is a fun custom set up for a Banded Hip Thrust!! Pay very close attention to how this is put together. All pins/support arms and any moving parts are banded down to prevent any unsafe movement. 
Benefits of this set up: Most gyms dont have a hip thrust machine of any kind. The common set up is with a bench and a barbell. Those of you that need heavy resistance, know how uncomfortable getting in and out of that is! This variation is much safer and more comfortable for those looking for a challenge and better muscle engagement. I tend to see people "hulking" weight around with a barbell but have no real control. The back support on this is fluid with the motion since it changes as you move, rather than catching the corner of a bench.  The band also offers a very different feel then a barbell! The concentric motion gets progressively harder and lock out requires a huge deal of glute force/contraction. The tension also leaves as the essentric portion of the rep starts. I'm not much of hip thrust enthusiast, but these are gnarly and will absolutely challenge the strongest glutes!! Give this a try😈👌

  • Upper Body Workout

I’m not going to lie, I don’t like training my
upper body🤷🏼‍♀️. I get bored. BUT in order to maintain proper body alignment and muscular balance you need to train your entire body (and usually the areas that you don’t enjoy training are the ones that need it the most!). That being said, I get bored with upper body workouts. So usually I’ll do some upper body after a run or between HIIT intervals. Or I throw in some core or compound movements to make it more interesting. Hopefully this workout gives you some ideas to mix into your routine.

Perform this circuit 3-4x
..
1️⃣eccentric push-up with leg extension 10-12x
2️⃣ banded rotational bicep curls 12-15x
3️⃣alternating single arm row 12-15x ea side
4️⃣1/2 kneel tricep extension 10-12x
5️⃣single arm upright row with 90-90 overhead hold .

  • Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms with airfryed potatoes. TO. DIE. FOR. .

Hollow out the mushroom using a spoon, lightly drizzle olive oil (you may have to use your hands to rub it in). Sautee sweet onion cook for 3-4 minutes in 2 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tbsp minced garlic. Add in zucchini, red pepper, sundried tomatoes cook for additional 5-7 minutes. Add in large handful of spinach. Once spinach in wilted, add 1/4 cup bread crumbs and add 1/4 cup of grated parmesan. Scoop mixture into mushrooms and bake in oven at 375 for 35 minutes. .

  • I saw this posted by someone else and I instantly related. I was a college swimmer with lots of overuse injuries and poor mechanics. It wasn’t until after I was done swimming still dealing with all of those issues that I really figured out the secret to moving and performing my best. All the anti-inflammatories, the bio freeze, and muscle relaxers were just a bandaid to fix the problems I had. Now, because of the information I have learned I have been able to get stronger and move better now at 26 then I did at 16.   • LA SCHEDA DI ALLENAMENTO È UNO YOGURT?
Non sapete quante volte succede. Soprattutto durante i primi mesi di allenamento
"Scusa è passato un mese - e di solito la scadenza è proprio precisa, tipo 21gennaio/21febbraio - vorrei una scheda nuova". Per chissà quale tradizione, in palestra c'è questa credenza che la scheda di allenamento debba essere cambiata ogni quattro settimane, perché al termine del mese la scheda, scade. Proprio come uno yogurt, con il vantaggio, rispetto allo yogurt, che probabilmente eseguire una scheda "scaduta" non procurerà danni intestinali ma neppure, of course, miglioramenti fisici.
La verità è che una scheda "scade" quando vengono raggiunti gli obbiettivi legati ad essa. Che magari, soprattutto se siete alle prime armi, voi faticate ad identificare ma che sono, o almeno si spera, molto chiari al vostro trainer. Quindi spetta a lui e non a voi, decidere quando una scheda debba essere cambiata. E non fatevi illusioni, a meno che non cambino radicalmente gli obiettivi, la nuova scheda non sarà stravolta gran che rispetto alla precedente (sì, lo so che spesso in palestra succede ma o vi stanno a pigliare per il culo o siete talmente noiosi che pur di levarvi dai piedi vi ancontenterebbero in tutto ciò che chiedete): cambieranno alcuni esercizi complementari, cambieranno i volumi di lavoro o altre variabili dell'allenamento ma il nucleo centrale del programma rimarrà quello, perché è su quello che dovrete progredire fino alla nausea se volete ottenere dei risultati allenandovi da soli.
Se così non vi sta bene perché avete la noia facile o non sapete come perseguire gli obiettivi allenanti, assumete un personal trainer che potrà, sempre ragionevolmente, variare il vostro allenamento più spesso mantenendo validi criteri allenanti.

  • SELF LOVE TUESDAY! 🤍 here’s a little snap of a tattoo I got late last year, this tattoo means a lot to me. The world we live in today can be an extremely fake lonely place, growing up in a generation that is saturated by social media, about who looks the best, who has the most instagram followers, who gets the most likes can be extremely hard. Making people measure their self worth by these things, that in reality say nothing about that individual is devastating. I think something that I have always found hard is comparing myself to others, life can be a serious up hill battle if your trying to reach this unrealistic reality, you’ll never be enough if your self worth is measured by others approval. Please if you do this, STOP!! LOVE YOURSELF, push yourself to be the best version of yourself, because there is no better feeling then when you are content with who you are as a person and what you have to offer the world. I got this tattoo as a gentle reminder to love myself, to love my body, even if I’m not in the best shape I’ve been in, even if I don’t look like that Instagram model. A reminder to look after my body physically and mentally. A reminder that every time I look in the mirror that I read the word love written on my skin and what a powerful thing that is for me 💫
