  • Last week I had the opportunity to speak to three different groups of youth. One thing they all had in common was the limitations they felt they lived within. Not one thought outside of the box to look at the benefits of rules and regulations. Most wanted to buck a system of structure but had no plan of attack outside of it. As a leader in our community I plant seeds of hope in our youth and help them understand the reason for structure and benefits in the long run. Many of our youth have hidden talents. One young man in the 9th grade makes over 50k/year and does not like school. He understands it’s simply a formality. He started therefore he will finish. •Será que um é mais eficiente do que o outro??!! Quando a elevação lateral é realizada com o halter, no momento em que os braços estão próximos ao corpo a gravidade age sobre o halter, mas este se encontra alinhado com a articulação onde será realizado o movimento, desta forma o braço de resistência é ínfimo, sendo assim este é o momento de torque praticamente zero, Conforme é feito o movimento de abdução, quanto mais o halter se afasta do corpo, maior será o braço de resistência, até o ponto de maior torque ao chegar a 90 graus de abdução. Este exercício vai provocar uma maior pressão mecânica na porção médio proximal do músculo Deltoide.

Já no caso da elevação lateral utilizando o cabo, se você regular a polia na altura da sua mão, no momento em que os braços estão próximos ao corpo, este agora é o ponto de maior torque, isso porque a carga agora está na aparelho e a tensão vai ser ditada pelo cabo que neste momento inicial formará um ângulo de 90graus com seu antebraço. Conforme é feito o movimento de abdução, vai ocorrer a redução do ângulo entre o cabo e o antebraço para algo em torno de 20graus sendo este o momento de menor torque agora. Este exercício então vai provocar uma maior pressão mecânica na porção médio distal do músculo Deltoide.

Portanto neste caso não temos um exercício melhor do que o outro, mas sim exercícios que se complementam para desenvolver o músculo Deltoide como um todo de forma completa e harmônica.

Então, bora lá treinar ombros!!

  • ROUTINE 🔑 - I know it sounds so clique but a routine is everything behind getting results when it comes to fitness and most things in life. Boring I know but repeating the same daily tasks such as the times you eat, when you train, what time you sleep is essential for progress and I find I get the best results when I live a little bit like a robot. I’ve dabbled in and out of the whole lifestyle thing trying to be more relaxed with my fitness goals following a flexible approach which I will use when its needed but it just doesn’t work well for me the majority of the time. I feel my best mentally and physically doing things to my maximum potential and it makes me a lot happier seeing progress knowing i’ve left nothing behind in and outside of the gym 🤜🏻

  • 😿CAT BACK DURING DEADLIFT?!😿 👉🏻I’ve put together a few useful drills that might help if your back is overly rounding out during the Deadlift.
Flexibility and Mobility are factors to consider also but I’ll be following up with some posts/videos to try and help there too.
-
1️⃣ I like the kettlebell behind the back variation to help train keeping tension in the back during the exercise to set a better spinal position.
You can really grip the kettlebell and bring your shoulder blades back while doing so. 
2️⃣ The dowel hip hinge is great for people that need a little bit more feedback and awareness through the entire spine and not just the upper back.
This is a really good drill for beginners as it helps to get the feeling of the movement right the first time and be progressed on.
3️⃣ Lastly, if you’ve tried both previous steps and it’s still not completely right then you might actually have a physical mobility/flexibility limitation. Raising the bottom position can help in this regard until those are worked on and put right. -

Cuantas veces fracasaste en el intento?

No te sientas mal, pues eso es lo más normal y lógico. Y esto pasa porque lamentablemente no tenemos las herramientas para soportar la dieta QUE ES LO MÁS DIFÍCIL en el camino a perder peso o mejor dicho perder grasa corporal. Hasta a mi me ha pasado infinidad de veces señores. ♾

Lo realmente importante es tener a alguien que te ayude a entender el camino y a superar los momentos de crisis que son súper normales. Y caer no es el problema, caer es lo mejor que te pueda pasar. Lo peor es que caigas y no retomes la dieta y los hábitos indicados para lograr tu meta personal. .
El Nutricionista es necesario!
El Entrenador es muy necesario!
Pero EL MOTIVADOR es la pieza que hace la diferencia en el éxito y el fracaso o simplemente, el más de lo mismo...

Recuerda, cuando te caigas en ese camino tan duro, busca ayuda para levantarte y continuar, NO PASA NADA SI PECAS CON LA COMIDA! Date un premio a la semana, pero no te puedes premiar todos los días. Es como ir a la playa y meterte hasta lo profundo caminando, ESO NO SE HACE!👎🏻

  • Aight there’s two squat racks in my gym side by side, and every Tuesday and Thursday night they post up next to each to squat. They don’t just work in with each other even though the guy is squatting max 20lbs more than her at a time and THEY TAKE THEIR FUCKING TIME. I don’t give a shit if you’re lovey dovey but when you take up my time I want to fucking kill you. (@gopumpyourself)
