Palm oil- there’s really no need over bleaching the oil. 2-3mins is perfectly ok! .

Potash: dissolve 3 tablespoons of potash in water and set aside. .
Mackerel: Clean, wash and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate for 2hours or more. Fry for 8-10mins (4-5mins on each side). .
1 1/2 cups palm oil 
3tbsp potash dissolved in a cup of water 
1 seasoning cube 
1 tbsp ehuru/calabash nutmeg 
2 small onions (one for the sauce and one for garnishing) 
2 scotch bonnet (grounded)
2 tbsp crayfish 
3 handful abacha 
2 cups of Ugba/Ukpaka β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
Cow skin: season with salt and pepper, cook for 45mins or until super tender. .
If you like your Abacha warm, transfer to a stove once you add the cassava flakes and heat to your desired temperature.

Garnish using utazi or spinach, peppered fish & cowskin, onion and pepper
