Классная штука, внушительная. В селе Ивановичи их было три, осталась всего одна. В этом же селе находится двухтысячелетнее оливковое дерево. 
Совпадение? Не думаю 🤔

Эта мельница построена 133 года назад и скорее всего работает до сих пор, но строго написано - «не крутить»! И не крутят её уже 41 год из-за угрозы оползней. Такие дела ✌🏻 #советую ! Это, кстати, бесплатно :) P.S. Бонусом на обратном пути мы встретили черепаху. Старушка переходила дорогу. 🐢

  • Back to baking over the weekend. An oldy but goldy this one🥖

Easy Olive and Rosemary Focaccia
•
Makes 1 loaf
450g white bread flour
7g fast action yeast
1 tsp salt
1 tsp caster sugar
300ml (approximately) lukewarm water
Olive oil
A handful of pitted olives
2 sprigs rosemary, picked
Sea salt flakes
•
Add the flour, yeast, salt and sugar to a large bowl and mix together.  Add in enough lukewarm water to create a wet dough. Bring the dough together with your hands. Tip onto a lightly floured surface and knead the dough for 10 minutes (or knead in a kitchen mixer for a couple of minutes with the dough hook attachment). Drizzle some olive oil into the bottom of a clean bowl, add in the dough, cover (TIP: I use one of those shower hats you get free in hotels for this, unused obviously!) and allow to rise in a warm part of your kitchen for approximately half an hour or until doubled in size.

Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a rectangular baking tin (18cm x 30cm) with olive oil. Tip the dough into this tin and press evenly into the shape. Using your fingertips, make some deep impressions in the dough. Place the olives in some of the indents, sprinkle around the rosemary and sea salt and drizzle with a little more olive oil.  Leave in a warm place for a further 15 minutes until puffed up. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in the tin for 5 minutes and then tip onto a wire rack.
  • Back to baking over the weekend. An oldy but goldy this one🥖

  • In no particular order here except for my Dada who is FIRST in so many ways. I celebrate him today ~ Deep Love to him ~ my incredible Dad, this nearly 84 year old man (in chronological age who really is only 65 in biological manifestation of age !) #miracledna 😉 🧬🔮 👼🏼 😉 ~ 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🤯 ~ We had a marathon day that started early evening with starters and food and conversation ~~ and progressed into more courses and treats and food ...and treats all in the genre of “his favourite things” ~ cooked by me in familiarity of tropical + Jamaican tastes yet interpreted in new ways withOUT curry hahaaa today... So the red snapper was perfect in parchment with the calamansi marinade with fresh ginger juice *ginger twist* and coconut oil + black vinegar & ginger sauce I created then plated on a mango purée ~ he loves the fish skin and likes it soft so... I complied... I made those beautiful shrimp, black and white ~ in black vinegar and alternately coconut vinegar both a hit ~ with complimentary dipping sauces ~~~ also his favourite,  iceberg wedge with calamansi citrus and mangosteen rather than lemon ~ My least favourite thing is traditional okra dishes so I reinvented it to my taste and he loved that - it was eaten up quickly! We all know it’s good for us but... anyhow, I spiced it with allspice and cinnamon+ garlic + cumin and coriander + and trapani salt and cooked it until crispy in olive oil... now I can do that again... because it was delish... it was served alongside castelvetrano olives and cerignolas (lemon and dark green) with cubes of fresh buffalo mozzarella dusted with blumepfeffer and orange blossom infused #parthena olive oil + French Riviera sea salt..... we ate fresh cherimoya for a very late light dessert while playing #settlersofcatan instead of me making the planned #dessert of burro bananas because everyone was soooo fullllllllll ~ 😵🤫🤐 ~ and the game went until 1:30am haHA ! #theusual #fathersdaycuisine #justfun #funinthekitchen #chezsuzette #celebrate #jamaica #expandyourmind #culinarytreats #expressyourself #freedominthekitchen #relaxed #favorites #tropical #tropicalfruits #highvibes #mango #cherimoya #magosteen #olives #ginger #coconut #redsnapper

  • Manchmal ist es einfach das Beste mit seinen Arbeitskollegen nach einem harten Arbeitstag im Olivenhain eine Pause zu machen. 😄☀️Es macht uns sichtlich Spaß, das grüne Gold vom Baum zu holen. Früher haben wir es in Säcke gefüllt und auf den Lieferwagen⛟ gepackt. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Seit letztem Jahr verwenden wir Kisten.🛒 Diese Kisten verhindern, dass die Oliven während dem Transport Schaden nehmen und schon zerdrückt in die Presse kommen. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Die Kisten haben auch noch einen ganz tollen Vorteil. Man kann darauf in den Pausen sitzen und lachen während dem man sich unterhält.😁🤗☀️

  • Just saw a tv documentary by france5 called : L'Olive, un ver dans le fruit, which talked about Les Baux de Provence which I just visited. You can see the 11th medieval château fort on the hilltop, towering over the expansive roves of olive trees beneath, let your eye wonder a little farther and from this perched castle you can see all of Provence : Aix, Marseille, La Sainte Victoire, even as far as the marshlands of Camargue. This show made me really want some olives, I guess I'll have to stop by Yaya and grab some Grecian Kalamata Olives by Kalios here in Paris.

  • Galette rústica de tomate🍅,
mozzarella⚪️y aceitunas🖤.

Masa casera de espelta🌾 integral,  pipas✨y semillas,
🖤una capa de olivada casera de aceitunas negras picadas con tomates secos🍅,
⚪️mozzarella de búfala @galbani_es ,
🍅tomate Mar Azul,
🍅tomatitos cherry de colores,
🖤aceitunas negras,
🍃y orégano de Sicilia.

Base:
🌾120g de harina de espelta integral
💛35ml de aove,
💧30ml de agua templada
⚪️sal
🖤semillas
•amasar bien hasta que quede una masa homogénea.
•extender la masa con un rodillo.
•cortar la masa con la forma de tu molde pero con un par de centímetros añadidos (truco: pon el molde encima de la masa y corta alrededor dejando 2cm de margen).
•colocar la masa en el molde.

🖤olivada casera de aceitunas negras
🍅tomates secos,
⚪️mozzarella de búfala @galbani_es ,
🍅tomate Mar Azul,
🍅tomatitos cherry de colores,
🖤aceitunas negras,
🍃y orégano de Sicilia.
•picar las aceitunas negras con los tomates secos y colocar una capa encima de la masa,
•añadir por encima la mozzarella, el tomate en rodajas y los tomatitos, más aceitunas y espolvorear de orégano.
•doblar los bordes hacia dentro. •hornear 35min a 180° con el horno precalentado hasta que la masa quede hecha y doradita.
