  • Hey, everyone! Did you know that Beta-glucan has been found to help with the prevention of respritory tract infections? 
Now, while COVID-19 is a respritory tract infection this has not been tested on this. Do not try to use this information as a replacement for physical distancing or wearing masks.

However, if there was a food that was shown to help people if they got sick that had only good side effects and was shelf stable wouldn't you eat it? 
Right now our immune systems need all the help that it can get so if eating oats for my breakfast helps some I am going to do it! ** Note: In the study in the picture RTI stands for respritory tract infection and RRTI stands for reccuring respritory tract infection.

  • Blueberry Banana Baked Oatmeal with All the Seeds 😍
# 
# Preheat oven to 350
# Mix together the following dry ingredients: 3 cups rolled oats • 1 tsp cinnamon • 1/2 tsp salt • 1 tsp baking powder • 1/2 tsp vanilla bean powder (or sub 1 tsp vanilla extract) • 1/4 cup ground flax • 1/4 cup hemp seeds 
# mix together wet ingredients: 1 flax egg (or I used @bobsredmill egg replacer), 1 cup mashed ripened bananas (roughly 2 bananas), 1 cup plant based milk (I used @silk unsweetened soy milk). I made ours sugar free but can add 1/4 cup or more maple syrup. 
# mix dry and wet ingredients well. Mix in 1.5-2 cups frozen blueberries 
# Add to baking dish. Press in extra blueberries and sliced strawberries on top. Finish with chia sprinkles 😝
# I doubled this recipe so we’d have leftovers for tomorrow. I baked it in a 9x11 dish for 35ish minutes. Bake until corners are well baked and brown.

  • Oats Magoats! Oatmeal has got to be one of the cheapest + easiest quarantine eats. If you’re low on ingredients at your house, just sub toppings with whatever fresh fruit, preserves, dried fruit, nuts, nut butter combo you might have on hand. You cannot mess up oats. Here’s #whatsinmybowl:

Refrigerator oats:
1️⃣ Put desired amount of oats in a container and cover completely in water. Let soak in the fridge overnight (24 hours is even better)
2️⃣ Transfer soaked oats to saucepan over med-low heat. Cover with dairy/non-dairy milk of choice and add cinnamon, vanilla and salt to taste. Stir continuously.
3️⃣ Optional: add ground flax (keeps you full longer) and maca powder (adds a caramel flavor & hormone support). Keep stirring until thick and creamy.

Maple Apple Date topping:
1️⃣ Melt butter in nonstick pan and add chopped apple. Drizzle with maple syrup and pumpkin pie spice, stirring until softened. 
2️⃣ Add chopped dates (I used @traderjoes chopped medjool dates coated in coconut flour) and toasted pecans.
3️⃣ Top oats with apple topping, a dollop of plain Greek yogurt and a drizzle of maple syrup.

2 teaspoons olive oil
2 teaspoons chili powder
salt to taste
1 cup diced mango
1 cup diced avocado
the juice of 1 lime
1/2 cup minced red bell pepper
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Heat a grill over medium-high heat. Drizzle the olive oil over the chicken breasts and sprinkle with the chili powder and salt to taste.
Grill for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked through.
While the chicken is cooking, combine the mango, avocado, red bell pepper and cilantro in a bowl. Stir in the lime juice and salt to taste.
Spoon the salsa over the chicken and serve. .

Licúa las bayas con una taza de leche, agrega endulzante de tu preferencia y a tu gusto.⠀
Disuelve la gelatina en agua caliente. Agrega a la mezcla anterior y licúa nuevamente. Vierte en el molde la mezcla y refrigera por 2 horas o hasta que cuaje.⠀

Una vez lista la primera mezcla, licúa 1 taza de Avena, canela en polvo a tu gusto, 1 cucharadita de vainilla, y 1 taza de leche. Licúa. Disuelve otro sobre de gelatina sin sabor en agua caliente, agrega a la mezcla de Avena y licúa de nuevo. Vierte sobre la mezcla de bayas que ya debe estar compacta. Refrigera por 2 horas o hasta que cuaje.⠀

Oatmeal Porridge With Caramelized Bananas 
Ingredients:
1/2 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup water
1/4 cup almond milk 
Cinnamon

2 tsp maple syrup 
1 banana
Cinnamon sugar mixture 
Directions:
1. Prepare oatmeal by bringing water to boil. Add oats and turn to medium heat. Cook for about 5 min. Add rest of ingredients except banana and cinnamon sugar. 
2. Cook for about 3 more min until oats reach desired consistency. Remove from heat. 
3. For bananas: heat lightly greased pan on medium heat. Add slices of banana. On top of banana, pour little bit of cinnamon sugar. Cook bananas for about 1 min and flip over. Cook for another minute and remove from heat. Repeat with remaining banana slices. 
4. Place bananas on top of oatmeal and enjoy! 😋

  • ANOTHER delicious and easy oatmeal bowl♡i got a lil up close and personal if you swipe left;) I honestly could eat oatmeal for breakky, lunch, dinner, or even dessert( there have been many times @ school where I’d eat a big, yummy bowl of oats for din din  and it was 🔥🔥👍🏻 ) throwback to the days where we’d all steal fruit from the dining hall😬😹we’re all guilty of it.

  • 《GALLETAS CHOCO AVENA🍫》
Esta receta la llevo haciendo hace algún tiempo y me gusta porque es simple y quita los antojos por chocolate 👀

Además es sin horno y rápida de  hacer 😋
.
🍫Ingredientes
🔸️ 1 1/2 plátano maduro
🔸️ 6 cdas de avena
🔸️ 1 cdta colmada de cacao amargo 🔸️Stevia (a gusto)
🔸️1/2 cdta polvo de hornear ~Si no tienes cacao amargo o quieres hacer la versión sin chocolate puedes reemplazarlo por 1/2 cdta de esencia de vainilla~

🍫Preparación
-Triturar bien el plátano con un tenedor (para que no queden pedacitos)
-Agregar el resto de los ingredientes y mezclar bien -Con una cuchara pequeña porcionar en un plato (apto para microondas) dandole forma redondita a las galletas.
*La mezcla me alcanzó más o menos para 11 galletas  de tamaño regular.
-Luego cocinar por 4-5 minutos en microondas (a potencia media alta). -Dejar reposar 10 - 15 min y  listo! 😁
.
Quedan con una textura blanda y un poco húmeda (por el plátano), pero si las prefieres un poquito más secas y crujientes luego de que las retires del microondas puedes darlas vuelta (para cocinar también por el otro lado)  y  darle 1 minuto más en microondas.

  • You guys wanted another BRUNCH recipe, so I’m giving you oatmeal two ways!!! 🍌🍓🥦🥕 snuck inside these brunch recipes are both fruits and vegetables!! STOVETOP BERRY COBBLER OATS 🍒🍓🥕
Picture 1 - feeds 1 •1/2 cup rolled oats
•1 TBSP chia seeds •1 large carrot shredded
•1/3 zucchini shredded
••2 scoops vanilla protein powder
Toppings: •1/2 cup frozen berries
•half banana
•peanut butter
•flaxseeds
>combine all ingredients in the stove, except protein powder. Cover with water. >cook until boiling, add protein powder
>transfer from stove top to bowl. >microwave frozen berries until hot and top oats with all toppings. 
ZUCCHINI BANANA BAKED OATMEAL (recipe from @abv_fitlife) 
Picture 2 - feeds 2
•1 cup rolled oats
•1 ripe banana, mashed
•1 small zucchini shredded
•2 TBSP ground flaxseed
•2 scoops vanilla protein powder
•2/3 cup almond milk
•1 tsp vanilla •3/4 tsp baking powder
•1 tsp cinnamon
•sprinkle sea salt >combine banana, flax and a bit of water to thicken
>add grated zucchini and all other ingredients >add to baking pan and cook at 350 for 35-60 mins depending on depth of fish (if a bread loaf closed to 60 mins. If more spread out closer to 35)
>let set for 10 mins, top and EAT!!!!

  • Lacasa de Papel! İki buçuk sene öncesine kadar yabancı dizi izlemekte zorlanan biriydim. Bir çok diziye başlayıp ikinci üçüncü bölümünde bırakıyordum. Bu dizi ilk çıktığında ben de izleyeyim dedim. Bu huyumdan ötürü tereddütle başlamıştım ancak öylesine beni içine almıştı ki deli gibi yurt odasında gece gündüz izleyerek hemencecik bitirmiştim. Yabancı dizilere ısınma sebebim olduğu için yeri bir tık ayrıcalıklıdır bende. Bugün son bölümünü de izledikten sonra her ne kadar sonu beni tatmin etmese de anılarımda kendisine yer vermek istedim.

  • Missing this bowl of absolute HEAVEN from @_brochan_ 😍😍😍 definitively the scrummiest porridge I’ve ever tasted (whats the secret ???) 🍓 this is the raspberry cranachan porridge 🥣 with some goooood crumble, beautifully tart compote and what can only be described as a PROPER serving of almond butter 😛😛😛

  • This bowl couldn’t be more basic! Made my basic porridge recipe [ you can find it down below ] and topped it with banana, blueberries and peanut butter 🥜 nevertheless, it was as good as always!

•1 cup rolled oats •2 dates (pitted and chopped)
•1 1⁄2 cups plant milk of your choice •1 tbsp chia seeds
•1⁄4 tsp cinnamon
•1⁄2 tsp vanilla extract
•juice of half a lemon
•zest of half a lemon
•1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
👉🏼 Combine all ingredients in a jar and set in the fridge overnight!

  • DALGONA VANILLA CHAI OVERNIGHT OATS // Had to see what the hype with this Dalgona Coffee (Korean coffee) was. Hype is real peeps. This stuff is strong, creamy, frothy and so good! I used it to top my overnight oats. Kind of looks like a coffee doesn’t it?! ☕️ Overnight oats made with @momafoods Jumbo Porridge Oats, mixed with @awesomesupps Vanilla Vegan Protein, @nushfoods Natural Almond Milk Yoghurt, @organicburst Maca Powder, ground cinnamon, ground cardamom and @alpro Unsweetened Almond Milk.   • Happy Friday everyone - we made it through another week in quarantine! I’ve been doing my best to stick to a routine and be productive, especially because my school load ya definitely increased! Who knew switching to all online would be SO MUCH more work lol. It definitely keeps me busy so I can’t complain all that much! -

I started off my morning with a nice simple bowl of strawberry PB oats - probably my #1 go to for a cozy bowl! What are some of your go-to “comfort” breakfasts?

dEATS:
- 1/2 c gf oats, 1/3 zucchini, 1/2 tbs flax, cinnamon + sea salt cooked w/water on the stove til thic + creamy 😋

Hello les Amours,
Pour ce bol, il vous faut:
Porridge:
-40 gr de flocons d’avoine @quakeroatsuk
-1 c.a.c de sucrant de votre choix
-250 ml de lait de coco @alpro
-1 c.a.s de yaourt coco @alpro
-1 c.a.c d’arôme vanille
Toppings:
-1 fruit de la passion
-1 carré de chocolat noir pâtissier
-1 c.a.s de copeaux de coco

1/ Dans une petite casserole, mélanger l’avoine, le sucrant et lait.
2/ Faire cuire à feu moyen pendant 5 minutes environ. (Mélanger régulièrement et ajuster le temps de cuisson selon votre goût.)
3/ Dès que l’avoine a épaissi, ajouter le yaourt coco et l’arôme vanille. Bien mélanger et faire cuire à feu doux encore 3 minutes environ.
4/ Une fois votre porridge cuit à souhait, verser l’avoine dans un bol. Ajouter le fruit de la passion, le chocolat, saupoudrer de copeaux de coco.

- in a nutri bullet at 1/2 banana, 1 scoop of @myvegan coffee and walnut protein, splash of oat milk and some cold water *BLEND*⁣

- add liquid to oats in pan and mix through on a LOW HEAT⁣
