  • I am heading to Rotto for the Australia Day long weekend and of course will be packing the esky with some C Si Bon Potato Gratin as it’s the perfect side dish for the fish we’ll be catching and chucking on the BBQ.   • I made homemade mustard today! Why do you ask? Well sure I’ll tell you. So I waited until I’m 62 1/2 to develop intolerances to foods I’ve been eating my entire life. So now when I want to cook something I have to check the ingredients before I can make them. 
I planned on making a salmon dish that called for mustard. Unfortunately I can’t have mustard with vinegar or wheat in it, unless I use apple cider vinegar. After searching several supermarkets I decided it would be best to make my own. Never made mustard before so I googled it and voilà.

  • Los famosos Mac and Cheese de cajita... aunque ahora digan que no tienen sabores artificiales, ni colorantes, ni preservativos, no confío en ellos... para mi son puro químico 🙈... para una emergencia nos sacan de apuros, pero a veces los niños quieren comerlos todos los días... así que me toca engañar a mi hija con ésta receta... ¡y le fascinan! éste fue su almuerzo de hoy: .
MAC & CHEESE” VEGANOS DE CALABAZA .
INGREDIENTES Y PREPARACIÓN: .
* 2 tazas de calabaza pelada y cortada en dados (300 g)
* Un papa grande (o dos papas medianas)
* 1/2 zanahoria
* 2 cucharadas de aceite de oliva virgen extra**
* 1 cucharadita de cebolla en polvo
* 1/2 cucharadita de ajo en polvo
* 1 y 1/2 cucharaditas de sal marina
* 200 g ó 7 oz de macarrones (o pasta corta)
* Zanahoria rallada. .

Cortar la calabaza (auyama), zanahoria, y papas en trozos. En una olla, colocar las cucharadas de aceite de oliva una cucharadita de sal,y agregar los vegetales cortados , sofreímos un poco y le agregamos agua hasta que hiervan y se hayan cocinado. 
Luego se sacan los trocitos de vegetales y con un poco del agua que se cocinaron éstos mismos se licúan (sin mucha agua para que quede una consistencia cremosa no tan líquida), por último a esa crema se le coloca el toque de ajo y cebolla en polvo mientras la calentamos, probamos el toque de sal... se lo agregamos a la pasta, un poco de ralladura de zanahoria y ¡A COMER! ... .

As many of you may be aware I have roped a few of you guys int to try and REDUCE or CUT SUGAR out for the next 2 weeks.⁣
⁣
Why? Because every time I do a Q & A I always get asked how do I cut down my belly fat? How do you get up so early? I’m not getting results? And I always answer cut out sugar.⁣
⁣
But the message isn’t getting through to some popes so I think the best way to answer all of the above question is to actually take you on a journey where we’re all in it together to cut out sugar. ⁣
⁣
A lot of the populations belly fat is caused by too much processed sugar and eating foods which are high in sugar but that you may not necessarily be aware of. ⁣
⁣
So we’re going to do our best to be very aware of our  sugar intake and what foods have what.⁣
⁣
You probably won’t cut it out completely but as long as you try, that’s all that counts. If you eat something that contains refined sugar don’t trip over and think you have failed, just get back on it straight away.⁣
⁣
Should you have honey? No, because you’re trying to get the urge for needing anything sweet out of your system.⁣
⁣
I can’t physically answer or don’t know everything that has a high sugar content so its up to you to either ask or read the labels.⁣
⁣
Don’t do zero or diet drinks, no no added sugar stuff, no low in fat nonsense as they still  contain a high amount of sugar. If you go my FACEBOOK ‘PMac No sugar challenge’ right now here’s a simple guide to what you should be having.⁣

Before you start here’s are 4 things you should do tonight or tomorrow morning. ⁣
⁣
⁣
1. Take a picture of your face.⁣
2. Take a picture of yourself (like & normal before picture).⁣
3. Weigh yourself ⁣
4.  Eat all the treats you want tonight. Then mentally record how you feel tomorrow, and then do the same in 2wks when you haven’t eaten sugar.⁣
⁣
Remember this is an experiment on yourself and to see the difference your life and results will be if you would at least reduce your sugar intake. It’s not a diet so don’t treat it like that.⁣
