Gateway to God. Yes, I am talking about Haridwar. One of the Ancient and Holiest Pilgrimage Center in India. The city where Ganga maa exits the Himalayan doors and starts her journey towards the Bay of Bengal.
Leaving my footprints in the Temples and Local Markets, I Reached One Ghat in this Holy City. Enchanting from the priest filled the surrounding which could be heard from a distance, though Enchanting was going on there was tranquil in the Air. I stepped down some stairs of the Sacred Ghat, folded my shirt sleeves and what happened next was beyond anyone can live At that moment. This too as the first time when my feet bowed to river Ganga. As the river was making her journey all the way from carving the Himalayan range it was carrying the chills of mountains and my feet got froze for a while but still, there was warmness in its purity. Near the Ghats, there were many Pilgrims some of them were having Painful faces and some enjoying the journey of life.
One more sight which reminded me of my childhood were few children taking bath along the riverside and asked to join and stimulated me. They might not be having money to buy footwear but their kindness, compassion and love placed them at a higher level from the world which is blind behind wealth.
These Children are pure as River Ganga but what pollutes them is the colour of Religion and make them different from one another. Religion teaches us to love to stay united what these children teach, that's why I guess it's called that God resides in children. They are god's gift as they possess the quality what God has taught in the form of every religion.
Humanity placed above discrimination. Love above hatred. And above all sense of US rather than just ME.
