  • 💥I have just completed a viewing on a potential R2R in the heart of Newcastle City Centre!!! 💥
The agent and the landlord were both very positive and open to the idea and seemed very receptive to what I had to say, now to crunch some numbers in that old analyser. 😀🥳🙌🧮
It's been a manic 3 weeks since we got back from our SA training at Progressive, we have been trying to push our first BRR project over the line while also contacting landlords and agents in the area regarding R2R and doing our due diligence. 🧾
Hopefully all this effort will now pay off though.

  • The winter blues are very common, with many of us experiencing a mood shift during the colder, darker days of winter. You may find yourself feeling more lethargic and down overall. Although you may feel more gloomy than usual, the winter blues typically don't hinder your ability to enjoy life. Here are a few things you can do that can help you:
-
Keep active: Visit a museum, go shopping, see a show, exercise.
-
Get outside: Go outdoors in natural daylight as much as possible, especially at midday and on brighter days.
-
Keep warm: Being cold may make you feel more depressed, so staying warm may reduce the winter blues.
-
Eat healthily: A healthy diet will boost your mood, give you more energy and stop you putting on weight over winter
-
Take up a new hobby: Keeping your mind active with a new interest seems to ward off symptoms of SAD.
-
See your friends and family: It's been shown that socializing is good for your mental health and helps ward off the winter blues

  • After the hustle and bustle of the holidays, there can be a letdown. It is colder, the days are shorter and we tend to be more isolated with no holiday gatherings and other activities to keep us busy. Sometimes it is easier to let the “blues” take over. This year, make a decision to find ways to make winter time fun and productive.
-
Enjoy the indoor activities, such as the theatre, cinema, museums and of course the shopping centre. Learn how to be grateful each morning that you are alive in this wonderful world.
-
Appreciate the quiet, the peace and the restful state that comes after the holidays are over. It is in our nature to “hibernate” during the winter. See it as a time to reflect, be still and relax.
-
There is no better excuse to read a book or complete that crossword puzzle than when it is too cold to be outside. Check out a TV series you have wanted to watch from the library. Bake a batch of cookies.
-
Most importantly, stay active and healthy! Go to the gym, take a yoga or pilates class and eat healthy foods.
-
Please, see the bright side of everything!

  • I now visit Jesmond regularly (to go to the dentist - don't ask) but I had never thought that much about the library there until @historicengland did a post about it and I learned that it won the RIBA bronze medal in 1965. The architect was Harry Faulkner Brown and it is listed at Grade II. It is a small and cute building, circular, designed so that all parts of it are equally well lit. Having spent many hours in libraries that look great from the outside but are so dark you can hardly find a book without a torch, I heartily applaud this design decision. None of this has prevented Jesmond library being closed as a local authority run facility and kept going only by volunteers. Luckily Jesmond is very, very middle-class and very, very studenty, so the library is flourishing on this basis, with all kinds of interesting community activities going on there. #awesomelibraries #library #midcenturymodern #1960sarchitecture #newcastle

  • Little dribble face 💖 looks like teeth are imminent, Charlie got his first teeth at five months old and Ella is just coming up to that age so it looks like we might have another quick teether on our hands! Charlie had most of his teeth by one, it was an interesting couple of months but it got it out of the way! 🦷

  • I finally made it home.. 😍. Was a Sad day for a family 😢.😢. Once I made it to Edinburgh, all was good.. Just had to catch the next train. I was put on.. Edinburgh, Dunbar and Newcastle. Fast one.. We have a station in my village. Sad thing is, that, we only have two trains a day. Some crazy people decided we didn't need the other services. And yesterday we whizzed passed through my village. I could of caught the next train and got off in the town where I volunteer but to be honest. I definitely had, had enough waiting round. So back to photos📷📷📷 Whizzed past what I believe is Barns Nest lighthouse... Barns Ness Lighthouse is located 3.1 miles from Dunbar and was constructed by the engineer David A. Stevenson between 1899 and 1901.. Then Berwick Upon Tweed. Which you may or may not know, has actually changed hands between Scotland and England 13 times. It is England's most Northernly Town, being only 2 1/2 miles from Scotland. It is still an ongoing battle,!! And then we have a quick Newcastle photo. The Tyne Bridge and the Baltic Contemporary Art gallery. in Gateshead, across the River.
