  • By @gabby.andries || “Bagan is home to 2,200 surviving temples that date back to the 11th century, but I'm mostly drawn to it because of the challenge and adventure it offers. The thought of waking up before dawn, looking at maps to try to figure out my route for the day and where would be the perfect spots to see sunrise and sunset, driving an e-bike, and climbing my way up the temple ruins in the dark with a flashlight really excites me. I was plenty nervous too, but I was mostly curious to see if I can survive the solo trip. The trip was a birthday present for myself, and it turned out to be even more spectacular and fulfilling than I expected it to be.
⠀
Sunrise in Bagan is truly unlike no other. It’s gonna be hard to beat, but here’s hoping this year brings its own set of epic adventures.” #intravelist

  • The thing is, there’s no other way to achieve what you want than just keep doing it.

Despite fear.

Despite rejection.

Despite hearing nothing but crickets when you share your new exciting idea, story, photo or service.

There’s this theory:
If you had a week to write a speech, it would take you exactly a week to write it.

But if someone told you to write the same speech urgently, for tomorrow - you would’ve probably written just the same quality and length of speech as you would’ve done in a week.

Same with life.

We are afraid, we don’t like rejection, we hesitate.

So we keep putting off writing our speech, living our life, doing the thing we love until tomorrow.

Or until Monday.

Or until New Year.

That’s precisely why New Years resolutions never work - because your life isn’t constrained to a day, a year, a perfect time for achievement.

It’s happening now.

Imagine if you gave your all, your focus, your undivided attention to what you want to achieve, and kept going, kept moving forward for the next 5 months?

Imagine where you’d be by January?

No half-assed actions, no hesitation, no fear of rejection.

Just action, through crickets, through anxieties, day after day.
Focused.

Taking one step after another.

Tell me, where would you be?

  • Under the bed of one of the wonderful @sweets_hotel canal bridge apartments .. I found in a book ..forgotten notes from the diary of an unknown traveler and I want to share it with you. There are no names, no places, no time ...: «I remember every detail of that cloudy morning. I remember every sunbeam on my coffee. You weren't with me and I felt sad... and literally felt asleep in the canal cold water alone . I remember seeing a very beautiful dream : How I traveled to your faraway land . I had never been there . How happy I was just because I was walking & hiking with you.. I was happy even when you told me: There is no future for us. I was only happy because I had met you and you woke my heart .. after eleven years.. Thank you.. i miss you „ Good morning Lovers ! Let‘s dream ... maybe there is a future .. maybe a hope ... who knows ? Life is a miracle

  • Sometimes, happiness is a feeling.
Sometimes, it’s a decision.
Sometimes, it’s a destination.

One of my fave spots in Istanbul is this rooftop in Kubbe. It’s a hidden gem of the city where you can see a beautiful panorama of Istanbul. We searched and walked just to find this and I can say that it was all worth it! #turkeybyjayven 🦅

  • West Wycombe is owned and maintained by The National Trust and its one-street medieval village is a unique slice of Buckinghamshire.
.
The village sits above the notorious Hell Fire Caves where Sir Francis Dashwood led notable folk of the 18th century in nights of debauchery and mysterious rituals.
.
Many a year ago there were seven inns and ale houses serving just 67 houses and although their number has dwindled to three, these are exceptional establishments that each offer an enjoyable rest-stop after walking through the West Wycombe Park, Village and Hill. .

  • Whenever I visit my sister’s village I make a beeline for this bougainvillea. It hangs so beautifully over the whitewashed wall that it’s impossible to resist. .
My Dad refused to plant bougainvillea for years - He only he likes growing things we can eat but guess what? He gave in and and soon I won’t have to hang around other people’s pink bushes! 😂

🇬🇧 Thanks to the mild climate and the beauty of the landscape, Positano has been a holiday resort since the time of the Roman Empire, as evidenced by the discovery of a villa and further discoveries dating back to 2004. Typical the many steps that from the top of the country they come down to the beach. The main beaches are Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo, both within walking distance; the others are La Porta, Arienzo and San Pietro Laurito, all of which can be reached mainly by sea.
