  • “Plant Foods Have a Complete Amino Acid Composition” 🥦💯
I don’t require clients to be vegan but I am a primarily-plant-based diet pusher, as you know. Because the more we know about it the better it gets, by leaps and bounds!! Here’s a lil reading on protein & amino acids:
“The American Heart Association (@american_heart) Science Advisory “Dietary Protein and Weight Reduction: A Statement for Healthcare Professionals From the Nutrition Committee of the Council on Nutrition, Physical Activity, and Metabolism of the American Heart Association,” contains often quoted but incorrect information about the adequacy of amino acids found in plant foods.
“The report states, “Although plant proteins form a large part of the human diet, most are deficient in 1 or more essential amino acids and are therefore regarded as incomplete proteins.”
“William Rose and colleagues completed research that determined the human requirements for the 8 essential amino acids. They set as the “minimum amino acid requirement” the largest amount required by any single subject and then doubled these values to make the “recommended amino acid requirement,” which was also considered a “definitely safe intake.” By calculating the amount of each essential amino acid provided by unprocessed complex carbohydrates (starches and vegetables), the results show that any single one or combination of these plant foods provides amino acid intakes in excess of the recommended requirements. 💥Therefore, a careful look at the founding scientific research and some simple math prove it is impossible to design an amino acid–deficient diet based on the amounts of unprocessed starches and vegetables sufficient to meet the calorie needs of humans. Furthermore, mixing foods to make a complementary amino acid composition is unnecessary.💥 “It’s important to correct the misinformation that many people are afraid to follow healthful, pure vegetarian diets [bc] they worry about “incomplete proteins” from plant sources. A vegetarian diet based on unprocessed starches, vegetables and fruits supplies all the protein, amino acids, essential fats, minerals, and vitamins necessary for excellent health.” (source below)

MYTH#5: I’m pregnant, I shouldn’t get vaccinated. 🤰
FACT: Young children and infants are especially susceptible to the flu since they are not able to be vaccinated. A study has shown that a pregnant woman can pass on the influenza antibodies to her developing baby and can actually provide immunity to the child for up to 4 months after birth.

Another myth is that it is a reflection of intelligence, that also is not true. However research shows that those with higher intelligence can progress with it more slowly. That's because they have developed more neurological pathways than someone of lower intelligence. .

It's about repetition of tasks and studying involves alot of repetition, being a student is basically a memory test!

  • Siapa yang suka ngerasa jijik saat lihat kecoa? ☝️Mungkin ada dari kalian yang suka bertanya-tanya, kenapa sih kecoa ada di dunia ini?

Menurut penelitian, nenek moyang kecoa sudah ada di bumi ratusan juta tahun yang lalu, dan mereka hidup di zaman yang sama dengan dinosaurus. Kecoa yang kita temui sekarang adalah jenis kecoa yang berbeda. Mereka pun dapat bertahan hidup dengan memakan apa pun, termasuk bangkai dan makanan yang sudah busuk.

Lalu, apa benar kalau mereka bisa tetap hidup di tengah kiamat nuklir? Jawabannya adalah tidak. Kecoa memang lebih tahan terhadap radiasi dibandingkan manusia, sama seperti serangga pada umumnya! Namun, energi panas dari ledakan tersebut akan tetap membunuh kecoa.

Kalaupun mereka selamat (karena berada jauh dari pusat ledakan, misalnya), lama-kelamaan sumber makanan mereka akan habis karena radiasi dan tidak bisa tetap hidup.
