  • “Tip-toeing across a Bedouin ‘bridge’ high up on Jebel Suwebit in Wadi Rum, I wondered if I was suffering from sunstroke and had lost my senses. It wasn’t really a bridge, more a pile of wood and rocks that was literally stuffed between a yawning drop of 50m into a ravine below, creating a ‘safe’ passage through the mountains. These ancient routes through the mountains were traditionally used by the Bedouin for hunting Ibex and collecting water. Whatever mud concoction that had been used to hold this death bridge together had long since dried out, and the sandy slopes on either side made getting on to it a bit of a leap of faith. It was a nerve wracking experience as we tentatively crossed the structure with packs full of camera kit, water and food. Without a doubt I’ve had some memorable experiences since I began working at Coldhouse, and this photo of our team creeping across this ridiculous bridge reminds me that I’m lucky to have these opportunities (and still be alive)! Pic taken by Rob Durran whilst filming the Elemental Journeys series for Pertex.” Emma (@emmacrome ), is our mild mannered Producer. She has been variously called: a lush, a conduit, the company glue, the moral compass, our values guardian, and a Cheese-a-holic. She’s quiet and humble but possesses a depth of passion and pin sharp intellect that makes you listen when she talks. She made it across the Bridge of Doom. Thankfully 🙏🏻

Pretty sure that we all think about Bambi when seeing those fawn and deer! Here are 5 "fun facts" that we picked up and might interest you :
1/ Deer are the only group of animals in the world to have antlers. Antlers are the fastest growing living tissue in the world!
2/ Deer can jump up to 10ft high and are very good swimmers
3/ Due to their eyes being at the side of the head, they have a 310 degree view.
4/ The average speed for a deer is 35 miles per hour for a short distance.
5/ All deer are herbivores which means they only consume plant life.

.
.
